Multi-Currency BacktestingcompletedcTrader Automate
support multi-currency cBots in backtesting
This is critical, Hurry up with this already.
Multi currency means that I can execute a backtest using a particular currency for account deposit.
I suppose that this voting feature request is about a Multi - instrument backtest.
For example doing a backtest (or live trading) on two or more Forex pair-cross.
Example : EURUSD and GBPSD
I am not sure if you developers trade yourself because traders will realize that without Multi-Currency support the Calgo platform is utterly useless.
Without Multi-Currency support it is a platform for losers, people that want to lose money.
Professional Traders know wheres the money at and it not in backtesting a single Symbol with some foolish moving average strategy.
Just so you know.
Definitely this would be a huge benefit to me. I am not sure why it is not already available. Even a cbot that only trades 1 currency Pair will crash if any of the Indicators uses more than 1 currency pair data.
PLEASE add this feature.....
Impossible to consider proper money management with my system without testing multiple currencies simultaneously. I am willing to bet that most decent strategies need this testing.
This is critical.
Absolutely must: portfolio backtesting AND (genetic) optimization. Meanwhile I am using Multicharts which already offers all of this until cTrader gets serious.
So money management on a multi symbol strategy becomes a guessing game.
I have a multi symbol cbot that so far looks to be profitable, but can only guess what the drawdown will be over a year since I cant backtest more than one symbol at a time :( Mathematically to calculate this manually is near impossible (need to compare every tick when there is a trade open on more than one symbol to get the worst case drawdown) , only the platform has a chance of doing this calculation if implemented.
Really need this feature..! :)
