This video presents a historical backtest of the XAUUSD Gold H1 Adaptive Breakout cBot on the cTrader platform.

BACKTEST DETAILS
• Market: XAUUSD (Gold)
• Platform: cTrader
• Timeframe: H1
• Historical Data: Pepperstone M1
• Test Period: 20 November 2025 – 1 September 2026

 ABOUT THE STRATEGY

The Gold H1 Adaptive Breakout cBot was developed around the change in Gold's market behaviour observed following its move through the $4,000 level in October 2025.

Rather than relying on a simple previous-high/previous-low breakout, the strategy uses a proprietary price-action trigger based on short-term candle structure to identify meaningful deviations from a recent reference period.

Directional and momentum confirmation are derived from price action around the potential entry point, using standard OHLC market data.

 TEST IT YOURSELF

The algorithm is available through the cTrader Store.

Traders can use the available trial period to forward-test the cBot and perform their own independent backtests before deciding whether the strategy is suitable for them.

 RISK DISCLAIMER

The results shown in this video are from a historical backtest and are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

Historical/backtested performance does not guarantee future results. Live trading conditions can differ materially from historical simulations. Trading leveraged products such as XAUUSD involves substantial risk and may result in loss of capital.
