Gold breakout cBot for cTrader: Aquila Gold's XAUUSD breakouts, recovery step and full-year backtest, worst dip included.

Get Aquila Gold on the cTrader Store:

Aquila Gold is a gold cBot for cTrader that trades breakouts of a four-hour channel on the one-minute chart. A new series needs a fresh breakout and an RSI that is not already stretched, opens only in the London afternoon and New York morning, and runs in one direction at a time. When a breakout turns back, it adds one larger position further away and closes both together at a smaller series target, and a 20 % limit closes everything if the open loss ever reaches that share of the balance. This video sets it up step by step, films real series in cTrader's Visual Mode, and reads the whole of January to September 2026 from cTrader's own backtest report: the deepest dip of the year, what a smaller account would have done, and a second broker's data.

Free indicators and tools:

What you will learn
- How to add Aquila Gold to an XAUUSD one-minute chart and which settings matter: the lot, the take profit, the series target, the channel, the correction distance and the drawdown limit
- What the built-in preset does, and how it handles gold quoted with two or three decimals
- How to read the panel: the status line, each side's positions and average entry, the channel, RSI and the drawdown
- How to backtest it on your broker's tick data before you trade
- A breakout straight to its target, a series that recovered, one afternoon with nine series, and the held series behind the deepest dip of the year

What it does
- Breakouts of the moving averages of the last 30 four-hour highs and lows, on the one-minute chart
- A fresh-breakout check and an RSI veto before every new series
- New series from 12:00 to 20:00 UTC, one direction at a time
- A take profit at the broker for a single position; one added position at 1.7 times the first, then both closed together at the series target
- A 20 % drawdown limit that closes every position
- Optional and off by default: a stop loss per position, a trailing exit for a series, a maximum series age, a Friday cutoff, buy only or sell only, a trend filter
- A news filter for live trading, a panel with buttons, and a hedging-account check at start

Good to know
- The figures come from cTrader's own backtester on IC Markets tick data and hold only for their own dates, data and account size
- The settings were chosen on 2026 data; the backtest shows how they traded, not what comes next
- No position carries its own stop loss as shipped: size the account for the equity drawdown shown, 10,000 USD for the shipped 0.05 lot

Ember Fuse

XAUUSD grid cBot for cTrader: Ember Fuse's gold series backtested on two brokers' ticks, with its deepest drawdown shown.

Get Ember Fuse on the cTrader Store:
Product page:

Ember Fuse is a gold grid robot for cTrader. When the hourly SuperTrend flips, it opens a small position in the new direction; if gold moves against it, it adds larger positions about two and a half dollars apart, up to eight, and closes the whole series together at one target three dollars beyond the average price. New positions open only in a six-hour morning window, and on live charts it pauses around high and medium impact news. This video runs it in cTrader's Visual Mode through three real series, a quick one, a deep one and a fast one, reads nine months of results from cTrader's own reports on two brokers' tick data, and sets it up step by step.

Free indicators and tools:

What you will learn
- How Ember Fuse enters, adds and exits: the SuperTrend flip, the ladder of positions and the one basket target
- How to add it to a gold chart in cTrader and which settings matter
- How to read its panel: orders and their open result, balance, equity, drawdown and the result plate
- How to backtest it on your own broker's tick data before you trade
- What it did from 1 January to 30 September 2026 on IC Markets and Blueberry tick data, its deepest dip, and the second preset
- The risk of a grid without a stop loss, and the account size it needs

What it does
- SuperTrend entries on the hourly chart (44 periods, deviation 2.5), both directions
- A grid of up to eight positions, 0.02 lots to start, each one 1.5 times the last, 250 points apart up to the sixth, then from 200 points growing by a fifth per position
- One virtual target for the whole series, 300 points beyond the average price
- New positions only from 05:00 to 11:00 on the broker clock you choose (the usual broker clock, UTC, or your own offset)
- A news pause on live charts with event lines and a countdown list
- Two built-in presets: the tested defaults, and a pair-close preset with up to ten positions
- An on-chart panel with buttons for buys, sells, new series and closing everything

Good to know
- It runs with no stop loss as shipped: a full series is 1.16 lots, about 116 USD for every 1 USD gold moves against it
- Use at least 4,500 USD for the shipped 0.02 lots, a hedging account, and a machine that stays on (a VPS or cTrader's cloud)
- The figures come from cTrader's own backtester on IC Markets and Blueberry tick data and hold only for their own dates, data and account size
