[Important] Notes on time filters and optimization
This cBot has a "time filter" feature that allows you to specify the trading time. When performing backtest optimization in cTrader, please be aware of the following system behavior:
* If 'Use Time Filter' is set to 'No': Even if individual sessions (e.g. Asia, London, New York) are set to 'Yes', they will be completely ignored and the system will run 24/7.
Recommended steps to perform optimization faster and more efficiently with cTrader's cBot:
1. If you want to test a specific time-of-day session: Clear the "Use time filter" optimization checkbox and set the fixed value to "Yes". Optimizations can then be performed on individual session toggles and time values.
2. When testing 24/7 operation: Set "Use time filter" to a fixed value of [No]. The key is to clear all optimization checkboxes in the individual session settings below. This prevents the engine from calculating "invalid parameters" and can significantly reduce optimization completion time.
