🎯 Dual Calculation Modes
 A combination of calculation modes between percentage-based or points-based, caters for symbols in similar categories – can use a percentage or points based calculation – or symbols in different categories – should ideally use a percentage based calculation for SL Adjustment – e.g. FOREX vs Indices vs Commodities.

• Trades for symbols in the same category (EURUSD & GBPUSD) & symbols in different categories (EURUSD & NAS100) can use any combination, either Percentage or Points for Profit Target tracking – Monitor Profit in parameters dialog.
• Trades for symbols in the same category (EURUSD & GBPUSD) can use any combination, either Percentage or Points for the Adjustment of stop loss trailing before and after break even – SL Adjust By in parameters dialog.
• Trades for symbols in different categories (EURUSD & NAS100) should, ideally, use Percentage for the Adjustment of stop loss trailing before and after break even – SL Adjust By in parameters dialog.

However, any combination is still possible and the flexibility is totally placed in the user’s hands to adapt Smart Position Manager PRO to their trading style.

• Profit Monitor % — Set profit targets in percentages
• • SL Trail %: As price reaches this level, trail SL by SL Adj % or Pts – based on SL Adjust By, i.e. Percentage or Points

✅ DEVELOPER | OWNER NOTES

1. Opening the stop loss after it was Adjusted/ Trailed is not advised as it will not be adjusted again. This is because the internal state of the position would have been updated and manually opening the SL will put it out of sync with it’s internal state. This is not good trading practice, however, it is sometimes practised. Only restarting the plugin will refresh the internal state.
2. Trades with no stop loss or take profit cannot be risk managed as the SL & TP levels are key to calculations for risk management. In that instance Smart Position Manager PRO will only monitor such a position with smart alerts, i.e. purely for monitoring. A notification will also be displayed to that effect. The capability for not having either a SL or TP is being considered for the next version.
3. If positions exist when the plugin is launched/ started up, the default settings will apply. If the trader wants to change the default settings, it is advisable to do it when there are not positions open.
4. Smart Position Manager PRO was not extensively tested for crypto assets and traders can use the plugin at their own discretion in this regard.
5. WebView2 has a key suppression issue for the DELETE & ARROW keys. This is a known limitation related to how WebView2 (the underlying browser control used by cTrader) handles keyboard input, particularly for navigation and special keys.
6. This issue is currently being looked at and should be resolved in the next version. The work around is to use the backspace key, highlight text and type over it or use the scroll bars in the input/ text boxes. Scroll bars in the input/ text boxes are currently available in the parameters dialog.
