DistEMATrendBot1.1 (demo) is a trend-following trading robot designed for use on demo accounts. It identifies market trends by analyzing multiple moving averages, the Average Directional Index (ADX), and an extrapolated least squares regression trend line. The bot places orders aligned with the detected trend and closes them when the trend weakens or reverses.
Key features include grid trading and hedging mechanisms: if a trade is in loss during a trend retracement, grid orders are placed at intervals based on the average daily range of the active symbol; if a trend reversal is detected while a trade is losing, a hedging order is executed. The bot is optimized for trending markets and may not perform well in range-bound or choppy conditions.
Recommended timeframes are 1 hour, with support for 30-minute, 2-hour, and 4-hour intervals. Users can configure parameters such as trade risk percentage, periods for five moving averages (recommended: 9, 14, 50, 100, 200), least squares trend period (recommended 120 bars), and thresholds for trend slope to filter unsuitable market conditions. Boolean options allow enabling or disabling grid and hedge features.
