An FTMO trading robot is a cBot built with prop-style limits in mind, such as capped position size and drawdown control, for traders attempting that firm's evaluation. FTMO neither makes nor endorses these cBots, and its own terms decide whether automated trading is allowed on its accounts.
Typically a trade is sized from a chosen risk amount and the stop distance, and some robots add a daily loss cap that halts new entries once hit. Those inputs reduce how far a bad day can go, but they do not remove losses, and a price gap can skip past any stop.
Read FTMO's current terms for your account first, then set the robot's daily loss cap, equity stop, lot size and trading hours to stay inside whatever limits apply. The Store does not hold those figures, and they can change, so take them from the firm and enter them by hand.
No, outcomes depend on market conditions, the robot's logic and the limits you set, and a run of losing trades can end an attempt early. Risk controls shrink individual losses without removing them, and past results, including backtests, do not predict the next month.
Some robots here come with a trial and a few are free, so behaviour can be checked before paying. A trial limited to backtesting runs only in cTrader Windows and Mac, and a cTrader demo account, where available, set to your challenge balance then shows how sizing behaves on live prices.
