This is easier to judge on H1. A sample of 34 setups with 0.5 percent risk gives a cleaner read than one good result.

For algo trading, the practical value is in cleaner decisions. A 23 setup run on New York open should show if it helps or just adds noise.

If this produced around 4 percent ROI in a month with DD under 3 percent, That would be that a good first sign, not proof of a holy grail. The first forward check is easier to judge after the trade size stays small.
