To ensure safer and more transparent trading, this cBot now uses realistic default parameters:

• Stop Loss: 300 pips
• Take Profit: 600 pips (2:1 risk-reward ratio)
• Initial Lot Size: 0.01 (micro lot) — suitable for accounts of all sizes
• Trailing Stop: Disabled by default (for clear, fixed-price exits)
• Risk % Sizing: Optional — enable only if you understand dynamic position sizing

How Position Sizing Affects Behavior

• Fixed Lots (default): Consistent trade size → slower equity change, smoother drawdown
• Risk % Mode (optional): Automatically adjusts lot size based on your equity and Stop Loss → larger positions in strong trends, but higher risk if the market reverses

Strategy logic limitations:

• This bot relies on clear trend signals from EMA crossovers and RSI momentum.
• It does not trade during sideways, choppy, or highly noisy markets, and may miss opportunities or generate false signals in such conditions.
• It has no built-in news filter. Avoid running it during major economic announcements (e.g., NFP, FOMC, CPI), as Gold is highly sensitive to news-driven spikes that can trigger stop-outs or erratic behavior.
• Consider manual pause ahead of high-impact news events.
• Equity-based risk sizing depends on accurate stop loss. If Use Risk % Sizing is enabled, ensure Stop Loss (pips) reflects your intended risk per trade. An unrealistically large stop may result in oversized positions.
• Drawdown protection is equity-based, not balance-based. The bot monitors equity (balance + floating P/L). A sharp adverse move can trigger drawdown shutdown even if your account hasn’t lost realized funds.
• Friday auto-close is active at 23:58 server time. All open positions will be closed regardless of profit/loss. Plan accordingly if you intend to hold trades over the weekend.

In sideways or low-volatility markets, it may stay idle for hours or days. This is by design.

4. How should I configure the bot for a $1,000 account with 1:500 leverage?

Recommended settings:

Initial Quantity: 0.01 lots

Max Equity Drawdown %: 15–20%

5. The MA and RSI indicators don’t appear on my chart is this a bug?

No. The cBot uses indicators internally but does not auto-add them to the chart.

This is purely for visual confirmation — the bot works regardless.
