Trend Accelerator Pro is a trend‐riding cBot for cTrader designed to squeeze the most out of clean moves – and, when properly optimized and switched on at the right moment, it can push performance to the extreme.
At the same time, it comes with a full risk-management cockpit so you can decide exactly how aggressive you want to be.

Trend Accelerator Pro – by Algotrend is a “profit accelerator” robot for cTrader built around one clear idea:
only trade when a real trend has started, then press the gas intelligently.
How it detects and rides trends
The core entry logic is based on a big impulse candle breaking a moving average, filtered by:
- ATR-based “big candle” condition
- Minimum candle body in pips
- Optional higher-timeframe trend filter (e.g. H4 MA200)
- Optional session filter (only trade during your preferred hours)
- Optional spread filter (avoid bad liquidity / news spikes)
Once a valid trend signal is detected, the cBot:
- Opens an initial position in the direction of the breakout
- Uses ATR-based stop loss, and optional risk-reward take profit
- Can pyramid into the move (add positions every X pips, up to a maximum per direction) as long as the trend remains intact
This makes it a true accelerator: when the trend is good, it scales in and tries to maximize the run instead of just taking a single small move.
Prop-firm friendly: thanks to its layered risk management (daily / total / equity / monthly limits, max trades per day and loss-streak protection), Trend Accelerator Pro is also very well suited to prop-trading style conditions. It helps you respect typical prop-firm rules and keep drawdown under control while still allowing you to push hard when the trend is clean. (see the Image)
Position sizing: conservative or extreme, your choice
Trend Accelerator Pro supports two sizing modes:
- RiskPercent mode – automatically calculates volume based on a % risk per trade
- FixedSize mode – use a fixed lot size / units for full manual control
On top of that, there is a Risk Profile Preset:
Off– nothing is changed, all risk parameters are fully manualSafe– lower risk per trade, tighter drawdown limits, fewer max positionsNormal– balanced profile for most usersAggressive– higher risk per trade, more positions, designed for advanced/optimized setups
This way beginners can just pick a profile, while advanced users can switch the preset Off and fine-tune everything by hand.
Trade management: break-even and trailing engine
To manage open trades, the bot includes:
- Break-even function – once a trade reaches X pips in profit, the stop can be moved above/below entry by Y pips to lock in a small gain.
- Optional trailing stop – starting from a given profit threshold, the stop can trail the price by a configurable number of pips.
- Pyramiding logic – adds new positions only if:
- price has moved at least “Pyramid Step (pips)” from the last entry
- price is still on the correct side of the moving average
- higher-timeframe filter (if enabled) still confirms the trend
Everything is designed so that, once the trend starts, the bot can accelerate exposure in a structured and controlled way.
Global risk control & safety features
Trend Accelerator Pro is not just aggressive – it has serious risk brakes built in:
- Consecutive loss stop
- After N losing trades in a row, the bot can block new trades until the next day.
- Daily risk manager
- Max daily drawdown % (equity)
- Max daily profit % (lock in the day and stop)
- Total and equity drawdown limits
- Max total drawdown (balance)
- Max equity drawdown
- Monthly risk manager
- Max monthly drawdown %
- Max monthly profit %
- Max trades per day
- Stop over-trading automatically on difficult days
- Warning system
- Soft warnings in the log when you reach e.g. 80% of a risk limit (configurable)
When any limit is hit, you can choose what the bot should do:
- Do nothing
- Close all open positions
- Close all and block trading until the next day
- Block only new trades until the next day
This lets you push the bot very hard when the trend is good, but still sleep at night knowing there are hard brakes installed.
Designed to be pushed, if you know how
Trend Accelerator Pro is built as an aggressive tool for trend phases, not as a “set and forget on every market forever” toy.
It really shines when:
- you optimize it on a specific symbol & timeframe, and
- you activate it in the right market conditions (strong directional phases, after consolidations, etc.).
If you want, you can run it in a safe preset and let it do its job.
But if you know what you’re doing with optimization and manual activation, this bot can be taken to very extreme levels of performance.
