What is a Fair Value Gap?

A Fair Value Gap (FVG) forms when three consecutive candles leave a price void due to aggressive institutional buying or selling. Price often returns to these zones before continuing its trend, making them high-probability areas of interest for ICT and Smart Money Concepts (SMC) traders.

How to read the zones

Green rectangle: a bullish Fair Value Gap — price gapped upward through this area. Watch for a retracement back into the zone as a potential long entry area.

Red rectangle: a bearish Fair Value Gap — price gapped downward. A retracement up into the zone may present a short opportunity.

Zones that have already been filled (price closed through them) are removed automatically so the chart stays clean.

Lite limitations

To keep this version free, the following features are restricted:

– Only H4 and D1 timeframes are available (M1, M5, M15, M30, H1 and W1 are locked)

– Maximum 3 FVGs shown per timeframe

– Filled zones are not displayed

– Zone colors are fixed and cannot be customised

– Zones do not extend to the right edge of the chart

– No minimum pip size filter

– No live dashboard

– No Buy/Sell trade setup zones with entry, stop and target
