Description
Ichimoku ATR ADX Trading Bot for cTrader
This cTrader cBot is an automated trading strategy based on the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo indicator, ATR-based risk management, and an ADX trend-strength filter. The bot is designed to trade only when market conditions show directional momentum and price is positioned clearly relative to the Ichimoku cloud.
The strategy uses Tenkan-Sen and Kijun-Sen alignment to identify bullish or bearish momentum, while the Ichimoku cloud acts as a trend confirmation filter. Long positions are opened when price closes above the cloud and Tenkan-Sen is above Kijun-Sen. Short positions are opened when price closes below the cloud and Tenkan-Sen is below Kijun-Sen.
To avoid low-quality entries, the bot includes several market filters. It trades only during a configurable UTC trading session, avoids trading when the spread exceeds the maximum allowed value, and can limit trading to one position per day. The ADX filter helps ensure that trades are taken only when the market has sufficient trend strength.
Stop Loss and Take Profit levels are calculated dynamically using the Average True Range indicator. This allows the bot to adapt its risk and reward targets to current market volatility instead of using fixed pip distances.
The bot also supports trade direction control, allowing the user to trade both long and short positions, only long positions, or only short positions. Open positions can be closed automatically when Tenkan-Sen and Kijun-Sen reverse against the trade direction.
