FAQ

Free trading bots are cBots offered at no charge, and a beginner can run one without coding by choosing its settings and starting it. Not every bot aimed at newcomers is free, so check the price, and remember that free does not mean safe.
Starting a cBot creates an instance, a copy with its own parameters such as symbol, volume and stop distance, and several can run at once. Positions opened by an instance stay open after you stop it, so check and close them yourself when needed.
Start with trade volume, stop loss, maximum open positions and any daily loss limit, since these decide how much one bad day can cost. Then read which symbols, timeframes and account type the description expects, and leave advanced options at their defaults until you understand them.
Because a free cBot can still lose real money, and its price says nothing about how its rules behave in live markets. A demo account, where your broker offers one, shows trades, fills and errors without risking funds, and a desktop backtest adds history.
Sometimes, since some sellers offer trials that can restrict features or duration, and paid products include a money-back period explained in the cTrader Store FAQ. A trial restricted to backtesting runs only on desktop, so read the trial terms before starting.
