What it is:

- An H1 volatility-breakout cBot for XAUUSD (Gold) that trades both long and short.

- Built around ATR to scale entries and exits to current volatility.

- Designed to capture multi-hour momentum and avoid micro breakouts.

Bot can be found at: ctrader.com/products/5006

Trading approach, logic, and behavior

- Breakout engine:

  - Computes the highest high and lowest low over the last N closed bars.

  - A trade triggers only if price closes beyond that channel by an ATR offset (EntryOffsetATR), filtering weak breaks.

  - Orders are placed at the next bar open (no lookahead).

- Exits and protection:

  - Stop-loss and take-profit are set at entry as ATR multiples (SL=SlAtr×ATR, TP=TpAtr×ATR).

  - Only one position per symbol/label at a time; no martingale, no grid, no averaging-down.

- Noise controls:

  - CooldownBars enforces a pause after an exit.

  - RearmBars requires price to return inside the channel before the same-direction entry is allowed again.

  - Optional session filter (UTC by default) lets you focus on London/NY hours.

  - Optional market-hours guard can block trades near session close/open.

- Direction:

  - Long and short enabled by default. You can switch to long-only or short-only.

Risk management and capital principles

- Sizing modes:

  - Fixed lots (simple, constant exposure).

  - Fixed risk $ per trade (size adapts to SL distance).

  - Risk % of equity (compounds with balance).

- Recommended risk: 0.25%–1.0% of equity per trade for most accounts. Keep margin headroom; avoid running near stop-out.

- Always test broker costs (spread, commission, swap) and set realistic expectations for slippage on news and at session edges.

Key trade parameters (user-configurable)

- Lookback N (channel length)

- ATR Period (Wilder)

- EntryOffsetATR (how far beyond the channel price must close)

- SlAtr / TpAtr (ATR-based SL/TP)

- ATR Min (pips) filter (skip ultra-low volatility)

- CooldownBars and RearmBars

- Trade window (start/end hour; UTC by default)

- AllowLong / AllowShort

- SizingMode + risk settings (fixed lots, $ risk, % risk)

- Label (so multiple symbols/instances can be isolated)

Who it’s suited for

- Account size:

  - Works on small accounts if your broker supports micro volumes; practically, $500+ can run tiny risk, $1,000+ recommended for smoother sizing.

- Trader profile:

  - Swing/day traders who prefer clear, rule-based entries and capped risk.

  - Users comfortable with periods of flat or negative performance during ranges.

- Experience level:

  - Intermediate and up.

Important limitations and usage notes

- Market regime sensitivity: Breakout systems typically perform best in trending/volatile conditions and can chop during ranges. Expect streaks.

- Timeframe: Designed and validated on H1. Other timeframes are allowed but not validated by default settings.

- Next-bar execution: Signals are taken after the bar closes; fills occur at the next bar open and can gap through SL/TP in fast markets.

- Costs matter: Spread/commission/swaps significantly impact net results—configure risk and sessions accordingly. Avoid ultra-thin hours if your broker’s costs widen.

- Session/time zone: By default the session filter uses UTC. If you prefer broker/server time, switch the bot’s time zone accordingly.

- One instance per symbol/label: Do not run multiple instances on the same symbol with the same label unless you intend to manage multiple positions.

- News and weekends: Consider pausing around major news and avoid holding through weekend gaps if your risk tolerance is low.

- No guarantees: Past backtests or examples are not promises of future returns.

Superior cTrader to Discord Notifier

Superior cTrader to Discord Notifier is a utility designed to connect the cTrader desktop terminal directly to the Discord application. It utilizes the cAlgo API to monitor trading activity and broadcast formatted text updates to Discord channels, servers, or groups using webhook integrations.

Core Use Cases

1. Signal Providers & Communities

This tool is built to assist Signal Providers who manage public or private Discord servers. The bot automatically publishes trade entries, modifications, and exits directly to Discord. Because the message formats are customizable (e.g., hiding lot sizes or ticket numbers), providers can broadcast clean, professional trade signals to their VIP channels or free community spaces without exposing private account details.

2. Personal Remote Monitoring

Retail traders can link the bot to their personal Discord server. This allows you to monitor your cTrader account's performance, open positions, floating profit, and risk levels from your mobile device while away from the trading desk.

Technical Features

Real-Time Trade Monitoring

Monitors the cTrader account for changes in positions and pending orders, triggering real-time notifications for:

- Market Executions: Position Opened, Position Closed, Position Partially Closed, and Position Modified (SL/TP adjusted).

- Pending Orders: Limit/Stop Order Placed, Order Modified, and Order Deleted.

Interactive On-Chart Dashboard

Includes a custom-built, draggable GUI dashboard rendered directly on the cTrader chart. The dashboard allows users to change settings on the fly without needing to restart the cBot or open the parameters menu.

- Tabs: Features categorized tabs (Trades, Orders, Format, Actions).

- Toggle Switches: Checkboxes to instantly enable/disable specific event notifications (e.g., turn off order modifications, or turn on partial close alerts).

- Manual Triggers: Buttons to trigger a Daily Report, or send a Test Connection message.

- UI Management: The dashboard can be minimized into a slim title bar to save chart space.

Customizable Message Formatting

Provides strict control over what data is included in the Discord broadcast. Users can toggle the visibility of the following variables to protect privacy or clean up signal formats:

- Show/Hide Ticket Numbers

- Show/Hide Lot Sizes (Volume)

- Show/Hide Stop Loss and Take Profit prices

- Show/Hide Net Profit on closed trades

Automated Reporting & Risk Alerts

- Advanced Daily Report: At a user-defined hour, the cBot generates a comprehensive summary of the day's performance. This includes total closed trades, net daily profit, current floating P/L, and a list of all active/closed trades.

- Account Status Updates: Sends periodic updates containing the current Balance, Equity, and Free Margin at a set interval (e.g., every 60 minutes).

- Risk Management Alerts: Monitors account health and sends emergency warnings if Floating Drawdown exceeds a specified percentage, or if the Margin Level drops below a defined safety threshold.

ReversalPivot3 is a semi-automatic cBot for cTrader that detects reversal patterns (spike candles) across 3 independent, fully configurable timeframes (default M15, H4, Daily — freely adjustable). It plots Fibonacci or Classic pivot levels on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis directly on the chart. It includes a PROTECT system: if a position moves into loss down to the next pivot level, it automatically opens an opposite-side hedge with configurable volume, instead of closing on a fixed stop loss. Master buttons let you turn entries and PROTECT on/off in real time, without restarting the cBot. Works on any symbol supported by cTrader (one instance per chart/symbol).Opening entries and PROTECT hedges is fully automatic; closing the hedged pair of positions, however, is left to the trader's discretion — they decide the best time to close it (at breakeven or in profit) based on their own market assessment. The cBot does not yet manage the hedge's exit or re-arm on its own.It is recommended to use it on a demo account first: being an algorithmic trading system that operates autonomously only in part, it still carries the risk of losing the invested capital and does not rule out the possibility of liquidation of the position or the entire account in the event of adverse market movements. No guarantee of profit. Test thoroughly on demo before any use on a live account.

Semi-automatic cBot: multi-timeframe reversal detection, Fibonacci/Classic pivots, PROTECT via hedging.

ReversalPivot3 is a semi-automatic cBot designed for the cTrader platform that identifies reversal patterns, specifically spike candles, across three independently configurable timeframes (default settings: M15, H4, Daily). It visually plots Fibonacci or Classic pivot levels on Daily, Weekly, and Monthly bases directly on the chart. The cBot features a PROTECT system that automatically opens an opposite-side hedge with configurable volume if a position moves into loss down to the next pivot level, instead of closing with a fixed stop loss. Traders can enable or disable entries and the PROTECT system in real time via master buttons without restarting the cBot. Entry and hedge openings are fully automated, while closing hedged positions is manually controlled by the trader based on market conditions. ReversalPivot3 supports any symbol available on cTrader, with one instance per chart or symbol. It is suited for swing trading with medium trade frequency and uses a fixed lot risk model. The system incorporates key levels, support and resistance, and Fibonacci analysis. Backtesting data covers over a year with leverage up to 500. The cBot does not autonomously manage hedge exits or re-arming. Users are advised to test thoroughly on demo accounts before live use.
