A doji candle pattern is a bar whose open and close are equal or nearly so, leaving a tiny body that reflects indecision between buyers and sellers. Dragonfly versions have a long lower wick with the body near the high, gravestone versions the reverse, and long-legged ones long wicks on both sides.
Tools typically compare the body with the bar's full high-to-low range and call it a doji when the body is below a set fraction. Some also require a minimum range so tiny, quiet bars are skipped; a larger fraction flags many more bars, a smaller one keeps only near-perfect examples.
No. It marks qualifying bars and may alert you when one forms near support or resistance, but it has no access to orders. A doji only shows a pause; whether price then reverses or continues is unknown, so any trade you take on it can end in a loss.
With the tool attached in cTrader Windows or Mac, scroll back across several symbols and timeframes, noting what price did in the bars after each marked doji. Confirm that marks appear only after the bar closes, since a forming bar can look like a doji and then change.
Both free and paid versions exist, and a paid one may add extra shapes such as inside, outside or engulfing bars. It may also offer ATR-based size filters or alerts; where a trial exists, use it to check the marks on your own symbols before paying.
