Smartchoise — Multi-Strategy Gold Trading Robot (XAUUSD)
OVERVIEW
Smartchoise is a fully automated trading robot (cBot) built specifically for gold (XAUUSD). It does not rely on a single indicator. Instead, it reads the market through five independent signal strategies and only enters when several of them agree, then manages the position with an adaptive risk engine and built-in account protection. You attach it once and it runs hands-free.
HOW IT WORKS
- Signals are calculated on closed 5-minute (M5) bars, while entries are executed on the 1-minute (M1) chart — so pullbacks are caught with 1-minute precision instead of waiting up to five minutes.
- Five signal engines vote on direction: Neural-Network EMA/RSI model, Trend (EMA + ADX), Candlestick patterns, Support & Resistance, and Round Price Levels.
- A higher-timeframe (H1) trend filter sets the master direction; a trade is only taken when the confluence of sub-strategies agrees with the trend.
- Entries are taken on pullbacks toward value, not by chasing extended moves.
STRATEGY TYPE
Multi-strategy trend/confluence system with an averaging-based recovery module. Every trade opens with a take-profit; if price moves against the position, the recovery module adds spaced averaging orders and closes the whole basket once a net profit target is reached.
ADAPTIVE RISK
Position sizing scales with the account balance, and an adaptive multiplier automatically reduces risk after a series of losing baskets and restores it as performance recovers.
ACCOUNT PROTECTION
- Daily loss limit — trading halts for the day if the daily loss threshold is hit.
- Hard equity stop — the basket is force-closed if floating drawdown reaches the configured limit.
- Trading-session window — new trades open only during your chosen hours (default 05:00–19:00 UTC).
- Max-spread filter — no entries when the spread is too wide.

IMPORTANT — HOW THIS ROBOT MANAGES RISK
Smartchoise uses an averaging-based recovery module: losing positions are not closed individually by a per-trade stop-loss but are managed as a basket and protected by a hard equity stop. This can increase exposure during extended adverse moves. Use the recommended balance, keep the hard-stop enabled, and test thoroughly on demo first.

Running a $300 account — high-risk mode
This bot is built for a $1,000 minimum on gold. Below that it pauses trading by default rather than carry more risk than you configured. Running a smaller account means deliberately switching that protection off.

What you are accepting:
Each protective stop costs 45% of the account, not 20%. Two in a row leave you with roughly 30% of what you started with.
Gold needs only about $64 of adverse movement to reach that stop — around a day and a half of ordinary trading, not a rare event.
The averaging cannot dig you out: at 45% per loss, the small take-profits do not rebuild the balance between hits.
This is a bet that the account reaches $1,000 before the first cluster of stops arrives — not a tuned configuration. Backtests of this same code with these same settings produced both strong growth on one period and a near-total loss of the account within three months on another. The market decided the outcome, not the settings.
Only run this with money you can afford to lose in full.
