The Globex Trap Strategy maps the overnight session range (default 18:00–09:30 ET) by tracking the highest high and lowest low formed before the New York open. Once the NY session begins, it watches for a sweep — a wick that pierces the Globex High or Low but closes back inside the range, indicating a liquidity grab against resting stops. After a sweep is confirmed, it scans every closed bar for supply zones above the Globex High or demand zones below the Globex Low, built on a classic Rally-Base-Drop or Drop-Base-Rally structure.

How to use it:

Apply to a 1- or 5-minute chart on any instrument with meaningful overnight activity — index, forex majors, metals such as gold and silver, or commodities. Let the overnight session run until 09:30 ET — the indicator builds the range automatically. Once the NY session opens, watch the Globex High and Low lines on the chart. A small arrow marks any bar where a sweep of those levels has occurred, confirming that liquidity has been taken. From that point on, monitor the supply zones above the Globex High and demand zones below the Globex Low that the indicator has identified. Look to sell at supply zones following a Globex High sweep, and buy at demand zones following a Globex Low sweep. Use your own criteria for trade management. Avoid setups forming after 13:00 ET as participation typically thins out.
