Buyers

Purchases, refunds, product ratings and reviews, troubleshooting.
Both. Many Store products are free and paid products may also offer trial versions with seller-defined limits or time windows. Price is not a quality signal — compare automation level, compatibility, supported apps, live or demo evidence, reviews and trial availability instead of assuming paid means better.
No. cTrader Store products are software tools — cBots, indicators, plugins and Copy strategies. They can support analysis or automate workflows, but they do not provide personalised investment advice or guarantee outcomes. You remain responsible for trading decisions, risk settings, account choice and compliance with broker or prop firm rules.
No. Buyers receive access to use the product, not to view or edit the seller's source code. Each .algo file is encrypted and distributed as a unique copy bound to the buyer's cTrader ID, which protects the seller's intellectual property. If you need customisation, contact the seller or look for a product with configurable parameters.
Buyers do not receive a downloadable copy of the .algo source file. The product is delivered through cloud synchronisation and runs inside cTrader or in the cTrader cloud environment as an encrypted, buyer-bound copy. Source code is never uploaded to Store or shared with buyers.
Refunds depend on the seller's policy and Store's refund terms, which may vary by product type and reason. If the product does not work as described, you can contact the seller and, if unresolved, report the product through Store. Refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated case by case. Always read the product description carefully and use the trial version (if available) before purchase.
Treat Store products as bound to the purchasing cTrader ID. There is no standard self-service transfer between cTIDs. If transfer is genuinely needed — account migration, mistaken purchase — contact Store support with the original purchase details; outcomes depend on the product and the seller's policy.
Sometimes — when the seller publishes a trial version. Trials can be time-limited, feature-limited or backtesting-only, depending on the seller. The "Trial" badge on a product page indicates trial availability. If no trial is offered and the product is paid, testing on a demo account after purchase is still the right way to verify behaviour before going live.
Yes, in most cases. Once cloud synchronisation delivers the product to your apps, you can start a cBot in cloud from any app, open an indicator on cTrader Windows or Mac or launch a multi-platform plugin from any cTrader app. Desktop-only product types (custom indicators, desktop plugins) require opening cTrader Windows or Mac first.
Yes. Store products are available on both demo and live cTrader accounts under the same cTrader ID. Demo is recommended for first-use verification — the product behaves on your broker's data feed, with your settings, before real funds are at risk. Live performance can differ because demo execution is usually smoother than live.
Yes — Store products are linked to your cTrader ID, not to a specific broker. Open a new account at any cTrader-affiliated broker under the same cTID and your installed cBots, indicators, plugins and Copy memberships remain accessible. Performance may shift because spreads, commissions, swaps and execution change between brokers.
Price is not a quality signal. Many free products are excellent; some paid products underperform. Evaluate any product on the same axes: clear description, supported apps, automation level, backtesting results and live or demo evidence, reviews, trial availability and risk wording. Use a trial version (if possible) before paying, then test on a demo account before going live.
Open the product page in cTrader Store; the seller's profile and contact options are linked from there. Sellers can also be contacted through their seller-profile page if it includes social or messaging links. For broader Store issues that the seller cannot resolve, use Store's report mechanism.
Open the product page in cTrader Store and use the report function to flag a problem — misleading description, broken functionality, suspected scam or policy violation. Reports are reviewed and products that breach Store rules can be removed.
Product ratings aggregate user reviews and may also weight in usage signals from Store. A higher rating suggests stronger user satisfaction but does not guarantee performance — products with high ratings can still lose money under your specific broker and settings. Read the underlying reviews, not just the score.
Reviews on cTrader Store come from users who installed or purchased the product. They cover usability, performance vs description and overall experience. Treat reviews as one signal alongside live or demo evidence and the product description — a few outlier reviews carry less weight than a consistent pattern.
Store offers five product categories: cBots (automated and semi-automated trading robots), custom indicators (chart analysis on desktop), multi-platform plugins (cross-device tools), desktop plugins (Windows/Mac tools) and Copy strategies (follow other traders). Compatibility differs by category, so check each product page for supported apps before purchase.
Backtesting results on a Store product page show how the cBot performed against historical data over a chosen period, with the seller's assumed spread, commission and execution model. Backtesting results are research evidence, not a forward guarantee. They can be over-optimised; compare them with live or demo-forward performance where available.
Live performance on a Store product page is the published track record of the product on a real or demo account, attached so buyers can see actual behaviour over time. Live performance is more credible than backtesting results because it includes real spreads, slippage and execution, but it still reflects one broker, one period and one parameter set. Read the underlying account record.
The "Trial" badge on a product card indicates the seller offers a trial version of the paid product. Trials can be time-limited, feature-limited or backtesting-only, depending on the seller. Trials reduce purchase risk because you can verify compatibility before paying. Use the trial first when available.
The "Video" badge on a product card indicates the seller has attached a YouTube video to the product page. Video matters most for plugins, dashboards and complex cBots because it shows what happens after installation — where to click, what settings matter and what the user sees. Video is a trust signal but not a quality guarantee.
It means that the cBot can run as a cloud instance in the cTrader cloud, started from any cTrader app, running 24/7 independent of your device. Cloud-compatible cBots use only cross-platform references and compile-time dependencies; cBots that need Windows-specific libraries are local-only.
After purchase or free install, the product is bound to the cTrader ID active in Store at the time and synced to your cTrader apps through cloud synchronisation. The first-use path depends on product type: start a cBot in cloud or locally, open a custom indicator on a Windows or Mac chart or launch a plugin where it appears in the interface.
Report the product through Store. Products with incomplete, unclear or misleading descriptions can be removed by Store. Provide concrete details — what the description claims, what actually happened and any reproducible steps.
If a Store product does not work, first verify the product is installed under your active cTrader ID, cloud synchronisation is enabled and you are using a compatible app. Custom indicators need cTrader Windows or Mac; desktop plugins need cTrader Windows or Mac. If the product is correctly installed but still does not work, contact the seller through the product page. If the issue is not resolved, report the product via Store.
cTrader Store is the marketplace for cTrader trading products: cBots, custom indicators, multi-platform plugins, desktop plugins and Copy strategies. Products are free or paid, linked to your cTrader ID and delivered through cloud synchronisation to compatible cTrader apps. Store is the official distribution channel — products are reviewed and source code is never uploaded.
cBots automate or manage trading logic. Indicators analyse charts. Plugins extend the platform with tools, panels or external data. Copy lets you follow another trader's strategy on a dedicated copy account. They solve different problems and have different app compatibility.
There is no universal cTrader Store money-back period that applies to all products. Refund eligibility depends on the seller's terms and on whether the issue qualifies under Store policy. Many sellers offer a trial version instead of a money-back guarantee — try the trial first when available.
Purchased products appear under the cTrader ID that bought or installed them, in the relevant section of each cTrader app — cBots in the Algo area, indicators in the chart's indicator picker, plugins in the platform's plugin area, Copy strategies in your Copy account. If a product is missing, check that you are signed in with the correct cTID and that cloud synchronisation is enabled.
The product is assigned to the cTrader ID active in Store at the moment of purchase or free installation. A different cTID will not see the product, so confirm the active cTID in Store before paying. If you have multiple cTIDs, sign in to the correct one first.
Source code protection allows sellers to publish products without exposing their intellectual property. Without protection, paid algorithmic products would be impossible to distribute safely — a single buyer could redistribute the source freely. cTrader Store generates each .algo file locally on the seller's machine, encrypts it and never uploads the source to Store or the cTrader cloud.
