FAQ

For EURGBP, an algo trading robot is a cBot that takes charge of entries, exits and risk limits on the euro against the British pound. Its logic comes from the developer's code plus the settings the trader configures, and it works only while the trader keeps an instance running.
Both currencies answer to closely linked European economies, so the cross has often moved less than dollar pairs and spent long stretches in ranges. Range bots build on that, though trend and breakout bots exist too, and UK or euro-area headlines can change the picture quickly.
Start with the condition each one targets, whether range, breakout or trend, then compare stop and target distances with the pair's small typical range. Trading hours and the spread and commission each broker charges matter too, and where a seller publishes live statistics they can be set against the backtest.
It can keep selling into a rally or buying into a drop, since its rules wait for a return that may not come. Bank of England or European Central Bank surprises often trigger such breaks, and a small typical range makes the spread a bigger share of each trade.
The London session is the natural focus, since both currencies trade most actively then, so backtests and demo runs can center on those hours. Include news days and quiet Asian hours as well, because a bot can behave very differently outside its intended window, and no test rules out losses.
