Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Installation

1. Purchase and download from cTrader Store
2. Double-click the .algo file to install
3. Open cTrader → Automate tab → Select SmartHedge cBot
4. Drag onto your preferred chart (EURUSD, XAUUSD, etc.)

Step 2: Enable At Least One Indicator: Important: The bot will NOT trade unless at least one indicator is activated!

Choose your entry triggers:

• RSI: Buy when oversold, Sell when overbought
• Bollinger Bands: Buy at lower band, Sell at upper band
• Pivot Points: Buy at Support levels, Sell at Resistance levels
• WWS: Trade when price is within tolerance of the smoothing line

Understanding the Display Panel

When running, SmartHedge shows real-time info in the top-right corner:

Active / Not Active ← Trading status
Monday 14:30 ← Current day/time
Buy: $12.50 ← Buy cycle profit
Sell: $-3.20 ← Sell cycle profit
Buy: Active (2) ← Buy state (positions)
Sell: Idle (0) ← Sell state (positions)

Cycle States:

• 🟢 Active - Cycle running with open positions
• 🟡 BreakEvenMode - Profit protection activated, stop-loss at entry
• ⚪ Idle - No positions, waiting for entry signal

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Bot is running but not opening trades. Why? A: Check these issues:

1. Is at least one indicator active? (RSI, BB, Pivots, or WWS)
2. Is Time Filter blocking? (Check if current time is within trading window)
3. Are entry conditions met? (Price must reach trigger levels)
4. Is Direction set correctly? ("Buy" only won't open Sell trades)

Q: What does "Both" direction mean? A: Opens simultaneous Buy AND Sell positions when entry signals occur. Each cycle runs independently with its own profit target.

Q: How does hedging work? A: When a position moves against you by the Stop Loss distance, the bot opens a larger counter-position (multiplied by TR ratio) instead of closing at a loss. This creates opportunities to recover when price reverses.

Q: What is Trade Ratio (TR)? A: Volume multiplier for hedge positions. Example with TR=1.5 and initial 0.1 lots:

• Initial position: 0.10 lots
• First hedge: 0.15 lots
• Second hedge: 0.225 lots

Q: Can I run on multiple charts? A: Yes! Each instance uses a unique label. Run SmartHedge on multiple instruments simultaneously.
