FW Vol PCB V5.2.4 – Volume Profile Trading System for cTrader
FW Vol PCB is a rule-based automated trading system for cTrader that analyses market structure using internally calculated Volume Profiles.
The system focuses on the main profile areas:
POC – Point of Control
VAH – Value Area High
VAL – Value Area Low
These levels, their surrounding Value Areas and additional price zones are used to identify structured trading opportunities.
The system combines developing profiles and eligible historical profiles with rule-based entry, stop-loss, target and risk-management logic.
Five Entry Models
FW Vol PCB V5.2.4 provides five independent trading models:
• Value Edge Rejection
• Value Breakout + Retest
• Value Return + Retest
• POC Rejection
• POC Breakout + Retest
This allows the system to process both reactions at important profile areas and confirmed breakouts, returns and retests.
Individual entry models can be enabled or disabled according to the selected configuration.
Structure-Based Entry Logic
Trades are not triggered simply because price touches a level.
Depending on the selected model, FW Vol PCB can evaluate additional conditions such as:
• Price zones
• Confirmation conditions
• Market structure
• Breakouts
• Returns
• Retests
• Profile age and validity
This separates a relevant Volume Profile level from the actual conditions required to open a position.
Structure-Based Stop-Loss and Take-Profit
Stop-loss and take-profit placement is also structure-based.
Targets can be linked to relevant Volume Profile areas, while stop-loss placement is determined according to the selected setup and market structure.
Additional minimum-distance and risk/reward checks can prevent trades whose protection or target structure does not meet the configured requirements.
Risk and Position Management
FW Vol PCB includes configurable risk and execution controls, including:
• Percentage risk per trade
• Equity or balance as the risk basis
• Maximum total risk across the bot family
• Maximum position size
• Maximum number of positions
• Spread checks
• Margin checks
• Additional post-fill risk validation
Depending on the configuration, the system also provides:
• Break-even management
• Trailing functionality
• Profit protection
These functions are configurable and are not required to be active in every setup.
Flexible Configuration
FW Vol PCB V5.2.4 provides 117 configurable parameters.
The system can therefore be adapted and independently tested for different:
• Symbols
• Markets
• Timeframes
• Broker environments
• Trading conditions
• Risk requirements
FW Vol PCB is expressly not restricted to XAUUSD or M30.
Selected development, backtesting and optimisation work has been performed using XAUUSD M30 with Fusion Markets, but this does not represent an exclusive market or timeframe requirement.
Users should independently test every intended configuration under their own broker and account conditions.
Volume Profile Data Source
The internal profile calculation is based on tick activity supplied by the connected broker and assigned using the Bid/Ask midpoint price.
This data must not be interpreted as centralised exchange-traded volume, genuine COMEX transaction volume or aggressor-side order-flow delta.
The resulting profiles are used by FW Vol PCB to analyse:
• POC
• VAH
• VAL
• Value Areas
• Relevant price zones
• Profile-based market structure
Different brokers, data histories and market conditions can therefore produce different profile structures.
Backtesting and Reproduction Information
Backtesting results must always be evaluated together with the exact configuration used to generate them.
A historical development/backtest example associated with this product was generated under the following conditions:
• Tested bot build: 5.2.1
• Current product version: 5.2.4
• Broker: Fusion Markets
• Symbol: XAUUSD
• Timeframe: M30
• Account currency: EUR
• Account type: Hedging
• Initial capital: EUR 2,000
• Test period: 8 October 2025 to 17 September 2026
• Historical data source: cTrader server tick data
• Account leverage used for the test: 1:500
• Risk per trade: 1%
• Maximum total bot-family risk: 5.25%
• Maximum open positions: 3
• Maximum position size: 1 lot
• Bot spread filter: 4 pips
The enabled entry models for this historical example were:
• Value Edge Rejection – enabled
• Value Breakout + Retest – enabled
• Value Return + Retest – disabled
• POC Rejection – disabled
• POC Breakout + Retest – disabled
Position management for this example used:
• Break-even – disabled
• Trailing – disabled
• Profit protection – enabled
The associated parameter configuration is identified as:
FW-PCB-3-R2-V521
The historical configuration contains 109 bot parameters. The current V5.2.4 product contains additional parameters and must not be represented as if this historical test had originally been executed on V5.2.4.
To obtain comparable backtest behaviour, the same bot build, parameter configuration, symbol, timeframe, historical data source, account currency, leverage, risk settings, broker conditions and transaction-cost assumptions must be used.
Different broker data, spreads, commissions, slippage, symbol specifications or execution conditions can materially change the result. Exact numerical reproduction across different trading environments therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Historical development and optimisation tests are not live trading results and are not independently verified performance records.
Designed for Different Trading Environments
FW Vol PCB can be configured for different symbols, markets and timeframes supported by cTrader and the connected broker.
Because symbol specifications, spread, commission, slippage, liquidity and execution conditions differ between brokers and account types, every intended configuration should first be tested under the user's own trading conditions.
Before live deployment, users are strongly encouraged to perform their own backtests and, where appropriate, forward tests using the intended parameters and broker environment.
Risk Disclosure: Trading and automated trading involve risk and can result in financial losses. Historical backtests, optimisation results and previous performance do not guarantee future results. Broker conditions, market behaviour and execution can materially affect performance. Always verify the selected configuration and risk settings before live use.
الملخص
The system offers five independent entry models—Value Edge Rejection, Value Breakout + Retest, Value Return + Retest, POC Rejection, and POC Breakout + Retest—allowing it to respond to reactions and breakouts at important volume profile levels. Entry decisions are based on multiple conditions including price zones, market structure, breakouts, retests, and profile validity, rather than just price touching a level.
Stop-loss and take-profit placements are structure-based, linked to volume profile areas and market conditions, with configurable minimum distance and risk/reward checks. Risk and position management features include configurable percentage risk per trade, maximum position size, maximum open positions, spread and margin checks, and optional break-even, trailing, and profit protection functions.
The bot supports flexible configuration with 117 parameters, adaptable to various symbols, markets, timeframes, brokers, and trading conditions. Volume profile data is derived from broker-supplied tick activity using the bid/ask midpoint price. Users should test configurations under their own trading environments before live deployment.
