EUR EDGE is a selective, fully automated EURUSD cBot designed to operate using custom rule-based market logic on the M30 timeframe.
The strategy waits for qualified market conditions rather than trading continuously. When a valid opportunity occurs, it enters using market execution, applies defined stop protection and uses a fixed 1.5 R profit target.
Risk is user controllable. Position size can be calculated automatically as a percentage of account balance or set using fixed lots. The published configuration uses 1% balance risk per trade.
Position exposure is also configurable. The published default is 5 simultaneous open positions, with a user-adjustable maximum of 10. Each position comes from its own independently qualified setup, so total initial risk can increase when several positions are open at the same time.

EUR EDGE does not use martingale or loss-recovery position sizing.
Prop-firm compatible?
No — EUR EDGE is not designed as a dedicated prop-firm compliance system. However, traders can adjust the available risk settings to operate within their prop firm's limits, provided the firm permits cBots and the selected settings comply with the firm's current rules.
Backtesting
EUR EDGE is not broker-specific and is not restricted to IC Markets. It is designed to operate with cTrader brokers offering EURUSD, on both live and demo accounts.
IC Markets cTrader was the environment used to produce the published historical validation results below. Users can also run and backtest EUR EDGE using other cTrader brokers or cTrader Demo environments.
Results are not expected to be identical between brokers because historical tick data, spreads, commissions, swaps, execution and symbol specifications can differ.
The published three-year backtest used the following configuration:
- Symbol: EURUSD
- Signal timeframe: M30
- Test period: 1 September 2023 to 24 September 2026
- Starting capital: 10,000
- Leverage: 1:1000
- Historical data: Tick data from server (accurate)
- Spread: Historical bid/ask spread supplied by the server tick data. In this data mode cTrader does not use a separate spread input.
- Commission: USD 30 per USD 1 million volume
- Target: 1.5 R

The recent period performed more strongly than the earlier portion of the three-year test. This should not be assumed to continue in future market conditions.

A 14-day trial version is available for demo accounts, using the same strategy parameters. The bot is not specifically designed for proprietary trading firm compliance but can be adjusted to fit certain risk requirements. Recommended minimum account size is $1,000.
