Description
Smart Harmonic Patterns
Review harmonic price structures directly on your cTrader chart. Smart Harmonic Patterns combines 88 pattern variants with an ATR-based ZigZag detector and an interactive chart panel.
Choose the patterns you follow
Browse Classic, AB = CD and Anti families. Enable individual variants or a whole group. The catalogue includes Gartley, Bat, Butterfly, Crab, Cypher and Shark variants. The focused default selection enables Gartley, Bat and Perfect AB=CD.
Pattern Radar shows the enabled variant count and visible matches and projections. Latest frames the most recent visible completed or forming structure. Live chart returns to current bars. This is a single-chart analysis indicator and does not place or manage orders.
Keep the chart organized
Choose Full, Standard or Compact panel mode, day or night colors, and separate switches for reference levels, projections and historical confirmed swings. Drag the header to position the panel, minimize it, or open its built-in help. Remember Panel retains your panel choices for that chart and Instance ID.
Understand the reference levels
The D price is the reference. The displayed stop sits beyond D and the outer potential reversal zone boundary, with a configurable buffer. Default targets measure 38.2%, 61.8% and 100% of the CD leg from D in the pattern direction. These geometric references do not account for fills, spread, commission, slippage or broker order restrictions.
Use alerts deliberately
Popup and email alerts support confirmed, forming and projected events. Alerts are OFF by default. Initial loading and re-enabling use a silent baseline, and the default closed-bar setting waits for the D candle to close. Email requires sender and recipient settings and working cTrader SMTP configuration. This version does not provide mobile push notifications.
Setup and limitations
Install the supplied indicator package in cTrader Windows, attach it to a chart and allow history to load. Start with EURUSD h1, the instrument and period used for the illustrated examples and matched-data checks. Defaults process a 1,000-bar public window and a maximum pattern span of 300 bars. The product requires no separate custom indicator or custom library.
Active ZigZag swings and projections can change as prices develop. Swing confirmation arrives with a delay. Closed-bar alerts do not make the detector non-repainting. Historical examples illustrate the interface and do not show executed trades or expected returns.
The two hidden output buffers contain raw ZigZag peak and trough prices, with zero for empty values. They are not buy/sell entry signals. A matching shape or potential reversal zone does not guarantee a reversal or a profitable trade. Review the included guide and evaluate settings on a demo chart before relying on the analysis.
