FAQ
Use costs that match your Opo Finance account, because spreads, any commission and swaps set by the broker may not match a seller's defaults. Running both versions shows how sensitive a bot is to costs, which matters most for grid and frequent-trading designs that hold or open many positions.
Some sellers limit trials to backtesting so buyers can study the logic on history without live use. Such trials are confined to the Windows and Mac apps. Other trials expire after a set time or lock features, and the product page explains which limits apply before you pay.
Leverage decides how much margin each position needs, while the symbol's minimum volume and step decide which sizes are possible at all. A risk-based bot rounds to those steps, so on a modest balance the smallest allowed trade may risk more than its setting, and grids multiply the margin needed.
Platform, permissions, symbols and account type all need to line up. The account has to be a cTrader one that permits algorithmic trading, carry every symbol the cBot trades and use the hedging or netting mode it expects, and the cBot must be obtained under the same cTrader ID as that account.
Tests often differ in period, symbols, cost assumptions and risk settings, so headline numbers are rarely like for like. Line up drawdown, trade count and test length on similar terms, then add reviews and any live statistics a seller publishes, remembering that past figures do not foretell future ones.
