EMA Pullback Fibo Pro is an automated cTrader trading robot designed to identify pullback opportunities within established market trends.

The strategy combines EMA trend structure, dynamic Fibonacci retracement zones, RSI momentum confirmation, and volatility-aware stop-loss management to filter potential entries and focus on pullbacks rather than simply trading every market movement.

The cBot can automatically determine position size from a user-defined percentage of account equity, while configurable risk-reward settings and ATR-based stop-loss calculations allow the strategy to adapt its trade protection to current market volatility.

How the Strategy Works

EMA Pullback Fibo Pro first establishes the broader market direction using two configurable exponential moving averages.

Long Conditions

A potential BUY setup is considered when:

• The fast EMA is above the slow EMA, indicating an upward trend structure.
• Price retraces into the configured Fibonacci retracement zone.
• RSI is below the user-defined buy threshold.
• Long trading is enabled.
• The selected quarter-hour trading filter permits trading, when enabled.
• The maximum open-position limit has not been reached.

Short Conditions

A potential SELL setup is considered when:

• The fast EMA is below the slow EMA, indicating a downward trend structure.
• Price retraces into the configured Fibonacci retracement zone.
• RSI is above the user-defined sell threshold.
• Short trading is enabled.
• The selected quarter-hour trading filter permits trading, when enabled.
• The maximum open-position limit has not been reached.

This creates a multi-condition approach where trend direction, price retracement, and momentum conditions must align before a trade is considered.

Dynamic Fibonacci Retracement Detection

The robot can automatically examine a configurable historical lookback to identify recent swing high and swing low levels.

These levels are then used to calculate a configurable Fibonacci-style retracement zone.

The default retracement range is approximately 38%–61%, while users can adjust the lower and upper retracement percentages to suit different markets and trading styles.

Dynamic retracement detection can also be disabled when desired.

EMA Pullback Mode

When dynamic retracement detection is disabled, the robot can instead use the configurable pullback EMA as the primary price-retracement reference.

This provides an alternative way to configure the entry logic without relying on dynamically calculated swing levels.

RSI Confirmation

RSI is used as an additional confirmation layer rather than as a standalone entry signal.

Users can configure:

• RSI period
• BUY threshold
• SELL threshold

The default configuration looks for relatively weaker momentum during an uptrend and relatively stronger momentum during a downtrend, seeking potential continuation opportunities after a retracement.

Adaptive Stop Loss

EMA Pullback Fibo Pro supports ATR-based stop-loss calculation.

When enabled, the stop-loss distance is calculated from the current Average True Range multiplied by the user-defined ATR multiplier.

Users can configure:

• ATR period
• ATR multiplier
• Minimum stop-loss distance

This allows stop-loss distance to respond to changing market volatility rather than relying exclusively on a fixed stop size.

Risk-Based Position Sizing

The robot can calculate trade volume using a percentage of current account equity.

The user can define the desired risk percentage, and the cBot calculates position size according to the selected stop-loss distance and symbol characteristics.

Position volume is automatically aligned with the broker's permitted volume minimum, maximum, and step size.

Risk-Reward Management

Take-profit distance is automatically calculated from the selected stop-loss distance and the configured Risk-Reward Ratio.

For example, with a 1:2 risk-reward setting, the calculated take-profit distance is twice the stop-loss distance.

Quarter-Hour Trading Filter

One of the key customization features is the 96-slot quarter-hour trading filter.

Every 15-minute interval of the UTC day can be individually enabled or disabled.

This allows traders to define specific trading windows such as:

• Selected market-session periods
• Specific hours
• High-activity periods
• Lower-volatility periods
• Custom time schedules

A configurable buffer around each selected quarter-hour slot is also available.
