Eagle Order Block Detector is a smart money concepts indicator that automatically identifies institutional order blocks and breaker blocks directly on your chart. It works by locating significant swing highs and lows, then marking the last opposing candle before each impulse move — the zone where institutional orders were most likely placed.

How It Works

The indicator scans a configurable lookback window and detects swing points using a strength filter (number of bars each side required to confirm a swing). From each confirmed swing, it identifies the origin candle — the last bearish candle before a bullish impulse, or the last bullish candle before a bearish impulse. These become your order blocks.

If price subsequently trades back through an order block and closes beyond it, that block is reclassified as a breaker block — a zone that has flipped from support to resistance or vice versa, and is now a high-probability area for continuation entries in the new direction.

A dotted 50% equilibrium line is drawn through the midpoint of every zone, giving you a precise entry reference within the block.

Popup Alerts

When price enters an active order block or breaker block, the indicator fires a sound alert and logs the zone details — type, direction bias, price range, and current price — to the cTrader log. Alerts reset automatically if price exits and re-enters a zone, so you never miss a revisit. OB alerts and breaker alerts can be toggled independently.

Visual Customisation

Bullish OB, bearish OB, and breaker block colours are fully customisable via hex code. Box fill opacity is adjustable from subtle to prominent. The number of zones displayed per type is capped at a configurable maximum to keep the chart clean.
