Candle Quality Meter Free is a cTrader overlay indicator designed to help traders quickly evaluate the quality of the current candle, the previous candle, and the higher-timeframe context.
This indicator does not generate BUY/SELL signals and does not open trades. Its purpose is to show whether the current candle is clean, readable, and supported by market context — or whether it may be noisy, risky, fakeout-prone, or in conflict with the higher timeframe.
The dashboard shows several key sections:
CURRENT — the live candle on the current chart timeframe.
It displays candle type, direction, quality score, noise score, body percentage, wick percentage, close strength, ATR ratio, and status.
PREVIOUS — the last closed candle.
This helps determine whether the current move is supported by the previous candle or appears after a weak, noisy, or rejecting candle.
HTF — the higher-timeframe candle.
This helps identify whether the current candle is aligned with the broader market context or is trading against it.
CONTEXT — the combined verdict from current candle, previous candle, and HTF context.
The indicator can classify the situation as Strong Alignment, Mixed, Conflict, Fakeout Risk, or High Risk Noise.
The indicator analyzes:
- candle body percentage,
- wick percentage,
- total wick noise,
- close strength,
- candle range versus ATR,
- candle quality score,
- candle noise score,
- candle type,
- CLEAN / CAUTION / AVOID status,
- candlestick patterns,
- higher-timeframe alignment,
- fakeout and conflict risk.
Built-in candle formations include:
- Clean Momentum,
- Bullish / Bearish Rejection,
- Bullish / Bearish Engulfing,
- Sweep Rejection,
- Breakout Close,
- Failed Breakout,
- Compression,
- Inside Bar,

- Indecision Doji.
The indicator also includes Pattern Trust, which evaluates whether the detected candle pattern is supported by candle quality and higher-timeframe context.
Status labels make the dashboard easy to read:
CLEAN — the candle is clear, readable, and relatively strong.
CAUTION — the candle is mixed and should be interpreted carefully.
AVOID — the candle is noisy, weak, or supported by a risky context.
