ECFX XAU Redline — Multi-Engine Gold Automation for cTrader
ECFX XAU Redline is a purpose-built, multi-engine cBot for automated Gold trading in cTrader. Instead of depending on one indicator, one entry pattern or one market condition, Redline coordinates several independently managed strategy families using completed M5 and H1 market data.
Each strategy family has its own entry logic, filters, position labels, sizing rules and trade-management controls. A shared Redline framework then provides broker-aware order handling, volume normalization, margin controls, exposure limits, drawdown responses, daily-loss protection and an informative on-chart dashboard.
Redline is intended for the broker’s tradable Gold instrument, such as XAUUSD or a broker-suffixed equivalent. The supplied reference configuration uses XAUUSD.P on an M5 chart. Some engines analyse completed H1 bars internally, so the user does not need to attach separate cBot instances to multiple timeframes.
Redline can be enabled and scanning correctly without opening a trade immediately. A trade is considered only when the relevant engine’s market, direction, time, spread, exposure and risk conditions agree.
The Redline engine deck
Redline combines four principal strategy families inside one cBot.
1. LOCK30X M5 Core
The LOCK30X Core evaluates completed M5 candle ranges and applies configurable direction, trading-hour, weekday and regime filters.
When a completed candle qualifies, the engine can prepare a pending entry using its configured candle threshold, entry offset, stop-loss distance, order expiry and decision cooldown. Depending on direction, it can use buy-limit or sell-stop logic.
The Core includes controls for:
- Buy and sell direction selection.
- Multiple configurable entry-hour windows.
- Candle-range qualification.
- Pending-order expiration.
- Initial stop loss.
- Trailing-stop activation and distance.
- Optional break-even protection.
- Optional maximum-hold exits.
- Optional scheduled force-close rules.
- Stale-market-feed detection.
- Broker entry and stop-distance buffers.
- Margin-aware position sizing.
In the supplied v1 16 reference profile, Core buy setups are enabled and Core sell setups are disabled. This direction choice applies only to the LOCK30X Core; other Redline engines may still trade both directions.
2. TC48/72 Isolated Trend Complement
The Trend Complement is a separately controlled H1 strategy sleeve designed to participate in sustained Gold trends.
It evaluates completed 48-hour and 72-hour rolling price ranges together with exponential moving-average alignment and average true range. When the completed trend, price position, session and spread conditions agree, the engine can place a pending buy-stop or sell-stop beyond the relevant completed range.
Each TC48 or TC72 position can use:
- An ATR-based initial stop loss.
- An ATR-based emergency take-profit target.
- Break-even activation and profit locking.
- ATR-based trailing-stop management.
- A minimum trailing improvement step to reduce unnecessary modification requests.
- A maximum holding time.
- Pending-order expiry.
- Spread filtering.
- Entry-hour filtering.
- Buy and sell direction controls.
- Maximum open-position and daily-entry limits.
- A virtual daily equity-loss limit.
- A dedicated margin-usage ceiling.
- Optional overlap de-duplication.
- Optional profit compounding.
- Optional sleeve-level drawdown brakes.
The TC48 and TC72 engines use separate labels and maintain their own virtual balance, floating result, daily entry count and daily risk reference. Their realised and floating results are separated from the protected Core balance and equity calculations used by other parts of Redline.
In the supplied reference profile, both TC buys and sells are enabled. Reference exposure is 0.20 lot per zone at USD 50,000 reference equity, with a maximum of two open TC positions, twelve entries per day, a 10% TC margin-usage ceiling and a 3% virtual daily equity-loss ceiling. Profit compounding and the optional TC drawdown brake are disabled in the supplied profile.
These values describe the reference configuration only. They are not personal risk recommendations.
3. Aurum Velocity, Channel and Pullback
Aurum is an independently labelled M5 strategy family containing three possible signal types:
- Velocity evaluates completed candles for sufficient movement and candle-body strength.
- Channel evaluates completed closes against a configurable recent price channel.
- Pullback is an optional EMA-and-ATR pullback pattern.
The supplied profile enables Velocity and Channel while leaving Pullback disabled. Both Aurum buy and sell directions are available.
Aurum has its own controls for:
- Signal timeframe.
- Trading session.
- Allowed weekdays.
- Direction selection.
- Entry-hour quality filtering.
- Maximum open positions.
- Daily entry limits.
- Per-engine cooldowns.
- Spread limits.
- Fixed or equity-reference sizing.
- Maximum lots and margin usage.
- Initial stop loss.
- Trailing-stop activation and distance.
- Optional break-even management.
- Maximum holding time.
- Optional session-end closure.
- Daily-loss protection.
- Drawdown-based volume reduction.
- High-water equity protection.
Velocity, Channel and Pullback use separate labels, allowing Redline to identify and manage their positions independently.
4. Sovereign H1 Strategy Portfolio
Sovereign is a portfolio of H1, ATR-based strategy profiles. Each active profile can prepare its own stop order using a profile-specific entry distance, stop-loss distance, take-profit ratio and expiry period.
The Sovereign engine includes:
- Buy and sell direction controls.
- H1 signal frequency controls.
- Maximum-spread filtering.
- Separate labels for each strategy profile.
- ATR-based entry, stop-loss and take-profit calculations.
- Profile-specific pending-order expiration.
- Fixed or weighted position sizing.
- Per-strategy risk settings.
- Margin checks.
- Friday order and position controls.
- Independent exposure checking for each strategy profile.
Eight Sovereign strategy profiles have active execution paths in the current cTrader implementation. The visible Strategy 9 switch is retained for configuration compatibility but does not place trades.
Optional expansion modules
Redline also contains two optional execution layers that are disabled in the supplied reference profile.
Hybrid Profit Boost is designed to become eligible only after configurable daily-profit conditions have been reached. It can evaluate candle momentum, range, body strength, close position, spread, drawdown and recent loss streak before preparing an additional trade. Its position size can be limited by both a percentage of the day’s available profit and a maximum percentage of account equity.
H1 Expansion evaluates completed H1 candles using range, candle-body, ATR and EMA trend conditions. It has separate buy and sell sessions, direction controls, lot and margin caps, recent-regime filters, weekday controls and maximum-hold settings.
Enabling either optional module creates a different configuration from the supplied reference profile and should be tested separately.
Local market-quality score
The parameter list includes a Local AI Regime Filter. This is a deterministic, rules-based market-quality score used by the optional Hybrid Profit Boost. It evaluates configured factors such as candle range, candle body, close location, available daily-profit cushion, spread, drawdown and current loss streak.
It is not a remote artificial-intelligence service, does not contact an external AI model and does not receive third-party trading signals. Because Hybrid Profit Boost is disabled in the supplied reference profile, this score does not create additional stock-profile entries by itself.
Order and position management
Depending on the active engine, Redline can use market orders, buy-limit orders and buy-stop or sell-stop orders.
The available management framework includes:
- Broker-normalized entry prices.
- Initial stop losses.
- Emergency take-profit targets where used by the engine.
- Break-even protection.
- Trailing stops.
- Minimum trailing-step controls.
- Pending-order expiry.
- Maximum holding time.
- Scheduled exit options.
- Direction and session filters.
- Spread limits.
- Maximum-position limits.
- Daily-entry limits.
- Unique engine labels.
- Protection checks before stop-loss and take-profit modifications.
The Store source also includes a broker-safety check designed to avoid sending an invalid combined stop modification after the market has already reached or crossed an existing take-profit level. When that situation is detected, Redline leaves the existing take-profit instruction intact instead of replacing it with an invalid request.
Multiple Redline engines can hold exposure at the same time on a hedging account. A limit applied to one engine does not necessarily cap the combined exposure of every enabled engine.
Adaptive position sizing and drawdown response
Redline supports several position-sizing methods because its engines have different purposes.
Depending on the engine and configuration, sizing can use:
- Fixed lots.
- Account-balance or account-equity reference scaling.
- Profit-step scaling.
- Engine allocation multipliers.
- Maximum-lot ceilings.
- Estimated-margin checks.
- Margin-usage caps.
- Broker minimum, maximum and volume-step normalization.
- Drawdown-based volume reductions.
- Recovery-mode volume reductions.
- Optional TC profit compounding.
The Core recovery mode is designed to reduce position size during drawdown. It is not intended to increase volume in an attempt to chase previous losses.
Gold contract specifications differ substantially between brokers. The same displayed lot value may represent very different monetary exposure when contract size, tick value, tick size, volume units, leverage or margin rules change. The supplied profile leaves optional broker contract-size normalization disabled, so users must verify the intended broker’s Gold specification before trading.
Do not copy a lot size from another broker, screenshot or account without checking contract size, stop distance, tick value, leverage, commission, swap and estimated margin.
Daily-loss protection
The supplied profile includes a daily-loss guard measured from a configurable Sydney trading-day reset, with automatic daylight-saving adjustment available.
The guard can use equity or balance and can:
- Pause new Core trading after the cutoff.
- Delete pending orders.
- Close open positions.
- Remain locked until the next configured Sydney trading-day reset.
Important: the supplied profile has account-wide closing enabled. If the configured daily cutoff is reached, the guard can close positions and delete pending orders belonging to other cBots or manual trades—not only Redline-labelled exposure.
A dedicated account is therefore strongly recommended unless the user has deliberately reviewed and changed the account-wide behaviour.
Daily-loss guards, margin caps, stop losses and drawdown brakes are risk-management mechanisms, not guaranteed loss ceilings. Market gaps, slippage, rejected orders, disconnections, stop-outs, unavailable liquidity or broker and platform failures can cause losses beyond a configured level.
On-chart Redline dashboard
The Redline dashboard is designed to keep the system’s operating state visible without requiring constant log inspection.
Depending on the selected visual settings, it can display:
- Current symbol and operating mode.
- Balance and equity.
- Net, floating and daily result.
- Equity-health indication.
- Open-position and pending-order counts.
- Exposure by engine family.
- Current daily-loss usage.
- Account and Aurum drawdown state.
- LOCK30X, Aurum and TC48/72 engine status.
- Current spread against the configured threshold.
- Daily-lock and high-water-lock status.
- Market-feed health.
- Calculated next Core and Aurum volume.
- Current operating status and signal reason.
The cBot also contains a Redline chart theme, background branding, optional trade text, optional entry markers and optional trade-flash alerts.
An engine shown as online means that it is enabled and operating. It does not mean that a valid entry must be available immediately.
Reference profile
The supplied v1.16 reference profile is configured around:
- Platform: cTrader.
- Instrument reference: XAUUSD.P.
- Base chart: M5.
- Internally accessed timeframe: H1 where required.
- Account mode: Hedging.
- LOCK30X Core: enabled.
- Core buy setups: enabled.
- Core sell setups: disabled.
- Aurum: enabled.
- Aurum Velocity: enabled.
- Aurum Channel: enabled.
- Aurum Pullback: disabled.
- Sovereign: enabled.
- TC48/72 Trend Complement: enabled.
- TC buy and sell directions: enabled.
- Hybrid Profit Boost: disabled.
- H1 Expansion: disabled.
- Daily-loss guard: enabled.
- Account-wide cutoff closing: enabled.
- Automatic equity scaling and Core drawdown brakes: enabled.
The current paid build exposes 359 parameters grouped by engine, execution, risk, broker protection, diagnostics and visual settings. Buyers should begin with the exact current defaults or matching v1.16 preset and avoid loading presets from earlier versions.
Changing engine, direction, date, time, spread, signal, sizing or protection settings creates a different configuration. Change one area at a time and retest before comparing the result with any reference evidence.
Account and operating requirements
For the intended configuration:
- Select the broker’s actual tradable Gold symbol.
- Attach one Redline instance to an M5 chart.
- Use a hedging account while Require Hedging Account remains enabled. The cBot is designed to stop during real-time operation on a netting account because separate engine ownership cannot be preserved in the same way.
- Review every volume, margin, session, daily-loss and account-wide setting before starting.
- Use one deliberately configured Redline instance per symbol and account strategy unless the label IDs and shared protections have been reviewed carefully.
- Backtest the exact build using accurate server tick data and realistic spread, commission, swap, leverage and Gold contract specifications.
- Forward-test the unchanged configuration on the intended broker’s demo account before considering live use.
- Keep cTrader, algorithmic trading and the market connection available whenever positions or pending orders require management.
- After stopping, updating or removing the cBot, inspect Trade Watch manually. Stopping the cBot does not guarantee that every existing position or pending order has been closed.
- Recheck the configuration after any broker, symbol, leverage, account, cTrader version or Redline version change.
Access and external dependencies
The current Store package declares AccessRights.None, so it does not request elevated file, process or device access.
Redline does not require:
- A paid signal subscription.
- A remote AI service.
- A DLL.
- A custom indicator.
- A WebRequest connection.
- An external trade copier.
Redline is also not a live economic-calendar or news service. The visible Sovereign NFP parameter is retained as a compatibility field and must not be interpreted as an active news filter.
Likewise, “Prop Safe” in a parameter name refers to a configurable maximum-lot control. It does not certify that Redline complies with FTMO or any other prop firm’s rules. Every firm’s limits, prohibited practices, time zone, drawdown calculations and account conditions must be checked independently.
Who Redline is designed for
ECFX XAU Redline is intended for traders who want configurable and visible Gold automation and who are prepared to test the exact build under their own broker conditions.
It is particularly suited to users who value:
- Multiple independently identified strategy families.
- Completed-bar, rules-based signal processing.
- Configurable execution and exposure controls.
- Broker-aware volume and margin handling.
- A detailed operating dashboard.
- Separate engine attribution and ownership.
- The ability to enable, disable and test strategy components independently.
Redline is not a guaranteed-profit product, passive-income promise, beginner-proof system or substitute for account monitoring.
Risk notice
ECFX XAU Redline is automated trading software and does not guarantee profit.
Leveraged Gold trading can produce rapid and substantial losses. Spread expansion, gaps, slippage, rejected orders, commission, swap, limited liquidity, broker specification differences, server-time differences, internet failure, platform failure and VPS interruption can materially affect execution and results. Multiple engines may create simultaneous exposure, and some or all deposited funds may be lost.
Backtests and demo results are simulations. They cannot predict future performance and may differ significantly from real trading. Test the exact build and settings with the intended broker, use exposure appropriate for the account and only trade money that can be afforded to lose.
ECFX XAU Redline brings multiple Gold-trading methods into one transparent cTrader framework, with independently labelled strategy families, configurable execution, adaptive exposure controls and detailed on-chart monitoring. Its purpose is to provide a structured system for testing and automating Gold strategies—not to remove trading risk.
