It does not try to beat Bitcoin in its best years - it is not a leveraged bet on the price. It trades both directions, so the bad years for Bitcoin were good years for the book.

WHAT YOU CAN DO (and what you cannot)

CAN: backtest it on cTrader tick or m1 data with your broker's real spread + commission over any period you like; redraw the exact published equity curve; and tune every setting the paid edition has - risk scale, initial balance, sizing, per-strategy On/Risk/Sides, risk caps and guards - then run the cTrader Optimizer over them to find what fits your account.

CANNOT: trade it live or on demo. On a real-time account it prints a notice and stops. That is the one thing the paid edition adds.

WHY IT IS REAL

Each of the 16 was mined and validated on its own - walk-forward and out-of-sample - and only then allowed to run next to the others.

HOW IT IS BUILT. They come out of a research engine that has run over 13 million backtests. You cannot check that number from here - so do not weigh it. Weigh this instead: what came out of it was ported to C# and checked signal by signal against the original. The release gate is 99.9% agreement; this build measures 100.000%.

And nothing ships until it has been EXECUTED on a live demo account - because compiling and passing tests is not the same as doing what it says.

AND IT IS MAINTAINED. This is not a listing that was uploaded once. The book is re-measured, strategies that decay are replaced, and every change ships with the reasoning - including the ones that cost us performance.

WHAT THE COSTS ACTUALLY WERE

These figures carry Skilling's real Bitcoin costs, tick by tick, and they are high: a spread of about 0.08% of the price plus a 0.075% commission on each side - roughly 0.23% per round trip, several times what a low-cost crypto broker charges. Swap is about 13 USD per BTC per night, long or short. Over the period that was 21,184 EUR of commission and 9,702 EUR of swap, already deducted.

We certified it there on purpose: a book that stays profitable through expensive costs has room to spare when they are cheaper. But your broker is not ours. Run the free edition on YOUR spread, commission and swap before you decide - on cheaper costs the result should be better, and you will see by how much in an hour.

WHAT IT NEEDS: CAPITAL AND LEVERAGE

Recommended starting balance: 50,000 EUR on the Balanced preset - the capital the published figures and the live demo account use. 30,000 EUR is a workable floor.

The floor is not set by leverage - it is set by the broker's minimum order of 0.01 BTC. Every trade is sized from your balance and its stop; when that size comes out below 0.01 BTC the trade cannot be opened, and it is simply missing from your results. At today's Bitcoin prices:

- 50,000 EUR: about 96% of the trades are taken.

- 30,000 EUR: about 88%.

- 20,000 EUR: about 83%.

- 10,000 EUR: about 64% - most of the book is missing. Not recommended.

Aggressive needs about 25% less capital, Conservative about 50% more. If your broker allows 0.001 BTC orders, divide all of this by ten.

Leverage decides the margin, not the minimum. At 1:5 or higher the book never needs more than 36% margin, inside the 50% margin cap it ships with. At 1:2 - the usual retail crypto limit in the EU - some entries would be skipped for margin. If your broker caps orders at 1 BTC, the bot sizes down to that cap instead of being rejected.

YOUR BOT, YOUR RULES - AND THIS EDITION LETS YOU OPTIMIZE ALL OF IT

143 configurable parameters. You do not need most of them - but they are there, and none of them is decoration.

EVERY STRATEGY, INDIVIDUALLY. All 16 are labelled by style and timeframe - "S01 - Price Action - 2h". Each one: on or off, its own risk %, longs or shorts only, open-and-manage or manage-only, or a fixed lot instead of risk.

PRESETS. One dropdown sets risk scale, guards and position cap - conservative, balanced or aggressive - plus long-only and short-only profiles. Pick one and the whole book moves together.

OVERLAYS, ALL OFF BY DEFAULT. Drawdown throttle, volatility targeting, de-risk under an equity moving average, profit target with trailing give-back. Off means the defaults reproduce the published figure; on means you are running your own version, deliberately.

TRADING SCHEDULE, ALSO OFF BY DEFAULT. Choose when new trades may open - ready-made sessions or your own hours, in the clock you work in - switch weekdays off, or close everything before the weekend. Exits and open trades are never filtered.

BROKER COMPATIBILITY. Symbol overrides, additive or compound sizing, per-asset and global risk caps, and a resolver that reaches bare tickers, MIC suffixes and commercial names. If an instrument is missing at your broker, the bot SAYS SO instead of running empty.

Every name, default and range is documented parameter by parameter on our website - read it before you buy, not after.

ONE THING TO KNOW: while a named preset is selected, the cBot re-applies that preset's risk scale, guards and position cap at every start. Set the preset to Custom first if you want your own values to stick.
