FAQ
FPM Trading neither compiled nor approved this page; cTrader Store assembled it from cBots that can trade on cTrader accounts held with that broker. Independent sellers make and maintain each product, so questions about a bot's logic go to its seller, while the broker's terms govern the account.
Usually not: a netting account keeps a single net position for each symbol, so each new grid order merges into it rather than opening alongside. Grid and hedge-style bots normally expect a hedging account, which keeps separate and even opposite positions, and their stacked trades can deepen losses on either type.
Start with the instance log, which records errors such as rejected orders, a missing symbol or volume below the allowed minimum. Next compare your parameters, symbol and timeframe with the seller's defaults, and if the gap remains, send the seller the log lines and settings so they can check their code.
A cloud instance does, where the product supports one, because it runs in an environment cTrader provides rather than on your device. A local instance stops when the desktop app closes, so bots that need web requests or external files and must stay local are often hosted on a VPS that remains online.
Each broker names and specifies its own symbols, so a suffix, a different index code or another contract size can appear on your account. Before starting a bot, check that its symbol parameter matches your list and that its volume means the quantity you expect, since a mismatch can open far larger positions than planned.
