Trading Gold (XAUUSD) requires a delicate balance between capturing high-volatility swings and surviving aggressive trends. While standard grid systems often "fight the tape" until an account is exhausted, Aureum Sentinel utilizes a sophisticated Regime Detection Engine to ensure it only operates when market conditions are mathematically favorable.

The Strategic Core

The Sentinel doesn't just "guess." It enters the market based on a confluence of institutional filters:

• Trend/Pullback Seed Entry: Uses a 200-period EMA filter combined with RSI oversold/overbought logic to ensure the initial trade is aligned with a high-probability mean-reversion move.
• ADX Regime Gating: This is the bot's "brain." It monitors the Average Directional Index (ADX). If the market is trending too aggressively (ADX > 25), the bot freezes expansion to prevent being caught on the wrong side of a "black swan" trend.
• ATR-Adaptive Spacing: Instead of fixed pips, the grid breathes. It uses Average True Range (ATR) to adjust the distance between levels, automatically widening during high volatility and tightening during low volatility.

Multi-Layered "Capital Shield"

We built this bot with the "Funded Trader" in mind. It includes a comprehensive suite of fail-safes that act as an automated risk manager:

• Peak-Equity Drawdown Kill-Switch: Unlike standard drawdown filters, this tracks your highest recorded equity. If the bot loses a specific percentage from that peak, it liquidates and enters a mandatory "Cool-Down" period.
• Daily Loss & Profit Locks: Hard-coded limits to protect your daily PnL. Once your daily target or loss limit is hit, the bot shuts down until the next UTC day.
• Exposure Cap: Limits the total number of lots open across all levels, ensuring your margin is never over-leveraged, regardless of the grid depth.
• Friday Shutdown: Automatically flattens positions or halts new entries before the weekend gap to avoid liquidity risks.
• Smart Recentering: If price stagnates in a tight range without hitting a Take Profit, the bot detects the "churn" and recalibrates its anchor prices to the current market median, preventing the grid from becoming "stuck" in old data.
