- A selectable adaptive moving average engine
- ATR-based dynamic trailing stop
- Smart Snap Support & Resistance levels
- Trend-flip and Retest signals
- Built-in market stretch detection
This is not just a modified SuperTrend — it is a complete trend and structure framework.
Core Architecture
1️⃣ Adaptive Trend Engine
At its core, the indicator uses a fully customizable moving average.
You can select from:
- EMA
- SMA
- WMA
- HMA
- VWMA
- ALMA
- LSMA
This allows the trader to adapt the behavior of the trend engine:
- Faster reaction (HMA / ALMA) → Scalping
- Balanced smoothness (EMA) → Intraday
- Slower confirmation (SMA) → Swing trading
Increasing MA Length produces a smoother, more stable trend curve.
2️⃣ ATR-Based Intelligent Trailing Stop
The system builds a dynamic trailing stop using:
ATR × TrailFactor
The trailing stop works with a ratchet mechanism:
- In bullish trends → it can only move upward
- In bearish trends → it can only move downward
When price closes beyond the trail:
- The trend flips
- A Diamond signal is plotted
This provides clear and objective trend transitions.
3️⃣ Snap Levels (Smart Structure Detection)
This is where AdaptiveTrendSabre becomes structurally intelligent.
When price stretches away from the moving average beyond:
Snap Threshold (measured in ATR)
The indicator tracks the extreme high/low during that stretch.
Once price releases back toward equilibrium, it automatically creates:
- A resistance level (after upside stretch)
- A support level (after downside stretch)
These levels:
- Are volatility-adjusted
- Extend dynamically
- Automatically delete when broken (with ATR buffer protection)
This transforms the indicator into a structure-mapping tool, not just a trend line.
4️⃣ Retest Signals
The system detects high-probability continuation entries when:
- Price retests the trailing stop
OR - Price retests a Snap level
A cooldown mechanism prevents signal clustering.
Retests offer structured continuation entries instead of chasing breakouts.
Professional Usage Approach
Trend Continuation Setup
- Wait for a trend flip (Diamond signal)
- Allow first pullback toward trail or Snap level
- Enter on confirmed retest
- Place stop behind the trail
- Let the trend expand until next flip
Structure-Based Trading
Snap Levels can be used for:
- Profit targets
- Partial exits
- Break-and-retest entries
- Structural reversals
Risk Management
- Trail = dynamic stop-loss reference
- Level Break Buffer = fake breakout filter
- ATR logic = volatility-adjusted positioning
Key Advantages
✔ Multi-MA adaptive flexibility
✔ Volatility-adjusted trailing logic
✔ Automatic structure mapping
✔ Retest-based precision entries
✔ Reduced false breakouts
✔ Suitable for scalping, intraday, and swing

The Fundamental Difference
SuperTrend tells you:
“The trend has changed.”
AdaptiveTrendSabre tells you:
- Why it changed
- Where structure formed
- Where to re-enter
- Where volatility expanded
- When structure is invalidated
It is a trend system combined with structural intelligence.
