GoldWick v1.0 is an automated trading bot (cBot) designed for trading gold (XAU/USD) on the cTrader platform. It employs a trend-following strategy driven by a proprietary momentum analysis engine tailored to gold’s market characteristics, such as volatility and active trading sessions. The bot features a multi-layer filtering system to enhance the quality of entry signals.

Key functionalities include configurable price sources (Close, Open, High, Low, Median, Typical, Weighted) and two execution modes: immediate market orders and pending orders (Stop or Limit). It incorporates risk management tools such as flexible take profit and stop loss settings, automatic swap protection by closing positions before swap time, maximum spread filtering, time-based trading filters, daily trade limits, and controls on maximum concurrent positions.

GoldWick targets intermediate to advanced algorithmic traders with basic knowledge of cTrader and automated trading. It is recommended for accounts with a minimum balance of $1,000 and brokers offering low spreads on XAU/USD, such as IC Markets. The bot has been backtested using high-precision tick data from IC Markets covering 2023 to 2026. It supports fixed lot sizing and is optimized for medium-frequency day trading with a focus on algorithmic trend strategies.
