TDI Signal Pro – Advanced RSI Volatility Indicator

TDI Signal Pro is a multi-function RSI-based indicator built on the Traders Dynamic Index methodology. It combines volatility band analysis with three independent signal detection systems, multi-timeframe RSI overlay, divergence detection, and a configurable alert system — all in a single indicator with signals projected directly onto the price chart. 

SIGNAL SYSTEMS

Shark Fin

Detects when the RSI Price Line breaks outside the volatility bands and then returns inside, crossing the Trade Signal Line in the process. Configurable filters include minimum reversal distance, extreme RSI levels, and band slope direction. Designed to identify overextended conditions followed by a momentum shift.

Extreme Cross

Fires when the RSI Price Line crosses back inside a volatility band after spending time in the extreme zone (below the buy level or above the sell level). A lookback confirmation ensures the RSI was genuinely extended before the cross is counted.

Divergence

Identifies classic RSI divergence: price making a lower low while RSI makes a higher low (bullish), or price making a higher high while RSI makes a lower high (bearish). Active only in the appropriate RSI zone to reduce noise.

CHART PROJECTION

All signals are drawn directly on the price chart as arrows (up/down icons) with short type labels (SF, XC, DIV). Arrow placement uses a dynamic offset based on the bar's own high-low range, which scales automatically across timeframes from M1 to D1 without manual adjustment. Chart arrows are limited to the last 200 bars to maintain chart performance.

MULTI-TIMEFRAME RSI

An optional higher-timeframe RSI line can be overlaid in the indicator pane. The timeframe is freely selectable. This allows confirmation of signal direction against a broader market context without switching charts.

ALERT SYSTEM

Three independent alert options, each with on/off toggle:

- Log Output: writes signal details to the cTrader log

- Sound Alert: plays a system notification sound on signal

- On-Chart Popup: draws a colour-coded banner at the top of the chart, which auto-clears on the next bar

Alerts fire once per closed bar.
