1. Opening Range Breakout
The system establishes a configurable Opening Range around the selected market session.
Default configuration:
- 15-minute Opening Range
- New York session
- Confirmed candle-close breakout
- Configurable session times
- Breakout direction incorporated into the overall confidence score
2. Multi-Timeframe Market Bias
The system independently analyses market structure across:
- Daily
- H4
- H1
Each timeframe contributes to the overall directional bias.
This helps prevent lower-timeframe setups from automatically overriding the broader market structure.
Neutral timeframe behaviour can also be configured according to your preferred trading model.
3. ICT Fair Value Gap Detection
ORB Institutional uses a 3-candle FVG model rather than treating every visible price gap as a tradable imbalance.
FVG qualification can consider:
- Displacement candle body percentage
- ATR relationship
- Volume expansion
- Candle close position
- Premium/discount location
- Directional context
Only qualified FVGs contribute to the setup score.
4. Institutional Order Blocks
Order Block detection uses multiple conditions rather than simply identifying the candle preceding a large move.
A qualifying Order Block can require:

This additional filtering is designed to reduce low-quality Order Block signals.

Trading during Compression can be disabled by default because low-volatility conditions may produce weaker ORB follow-through.

📊 ADX Momentum Filter
An additional ADX-based filter evaluates market momentum and can prevent entries when market conditions become excessively weak or directionless.
This works independently from the broader regime classification.
📰 Scheduled News Blackout
The system includes configurable recurring blackout windows designed to reduce exposure around major scheduled market events.
Default configurations can include:
- First-Friday NFP window
- Weekly high-impact-event blackout

🎯 Adaptive Risk Management
Risk allocation can adapt to the detected volatility regime.

- Lower volatility → higher permitted risk

1.2% maximum risk in lower-volatility conditions
0.4% maximum risk in higher-volatility conditions
