Description
Aurelia Gold Edge trades gold (XAUUSD) with two swing-breakout strategies and a prop-firm guard built in. Choose how you use it - a prop firm challenge, a funded account or your own account - and, for a firm, its programme and phase: the guard loads that programme's limits, the risk per trade is set from them, and the robot stops before any limit is reached.
HOW IT TRADES
Two strategies run side by side on one chart and one account. Both wait for a confirmed swing high or low and place a pending stop order at the opposite swing point when the price is within 1.5 ATR of it, so a trade opens only when the market breaks out. The first reads 15-minute swings and trades only in the direction of the four-hour trend (a 50-period EMA), from 07:00 to 20:00 UTC, at most twice a day: stop 4 ATR, target 12 ATR, a third of the position closed at 1 R. The second reads 30-minute swings with the slower four-hour trend (a 200-period EMA), at most once a day: stop 3 ATR, target 6 ATR, half closed at 0.75 R. After a partial close the stop moves to the entry. Both trade only while volatility is in the upper half of its recent range. Every order carries its stop loss and take profit. Their open positions together never risk more than twice the risk per trade, and everything is closed on Friday evening: no position is held over a weekend. No grid, no martingale, no averaging down.
THREE MODES
Prop challenge (the default): the risk per trade is the room your programme leaves - its maximum loss - divided by six and rounded down to a fixed step between 0.25 and 3 % (1.5 % on a 10 % maximum loss). When the profit target is reached, new entries stop: the phase is passed. Funded account: the firm's funded rules at 0.35 % per trade. Own account: no firm rules, 0.35 % per trade. Your own Risk per trade replaces the automatic risk, never above the firm's own per-trade limit. A handful of firm phases where the robot lost an account in its 2026 tests are not traded automatically: the robot stops at the start and says why.
THE GUARD
On every price change the guard checks the whole account: the daily loss measured the way the firm measures it and reset on the firm's own clock, the maximum loss (static or trailing), the profit target with the minimum trading days. It stops before each limit by a buffer, refuses an entry whose full stop would no longer fit inside the room that is left, and says why on the chart panel and in the log. One guard covers both strategies.
FIRM PROFILES, CUSTOM RULES
The Prop firm rules list holds 39 programme profiles of the 9 firms whose published terms allow a purchased robot on cTrader, phase by phase, read on the firms' own pages. The 24 firms whose terms do not allow it are in the list too: choosing one stops the robot at start with the firm's own words. Any other firm, or a programme that changed, is set up in the Custom rules group. A robot you buy takes the same trades for every buyer, and some firms flag identical trades across accounts: read your firm's rules on this before you buy a challenge.
RESTARTS
The guard's progress (the day's start, the trading days, a reached target) and each strategy's last traded swing are kept when cTrader restarts, per account and per programme phase.
BACKTEST
cTrader's own backtester, IC Markets tick data from the server, from 2 January 2026 to 13 October 2026, 100,000 USD starting balance, commission 27.5 USD per million, the default settings: a two-step programme's first phase (10 % profit target, 5 % daily loss, 10 % maximum loss), Mode Prop challenge at 1.5 % per trade. The target was reached on 28 January 2026 (26 days): net profit +10,156.69 USD (+10.16 %), profit factor 3.18, 19 trades (14 won), maximum balance drawdown 2.10 %, maximum equity drawdown 4.07 %; after that the robot opened nothing, as a passed phase requires. The same release in Own account mode over the full window: +10,941.83 USD (+10.94 %), profit factor 1.88, 168 trades, maximum equity drawdown 3.50 %; on Blueberry Markets' tick data +5.37 %, profit factor 1.39. Whole challenges on cTrader, a fresh 100,000 USD account per phase from 2 February and from 1 June 2026, eight programmes each: 13 of 16 passed every phase (median 45 days), 0 lost. In Own account mode a small account skips the trades whose minimum 0.01 lot would risk more than 0.35 %: 48 of the 168 deals at 10,000 USD, 130 at 25,000 USD. The strategies were chosen on 2026 prices, so this shows how they traded the year they were chosen on; it is not a forecast.
WHAT IT DOES NOT PROMISE
Passing a challenge is not promised, and neither is a fixed number of days. The strategies need gold to move: in quiet months they trade less and pass slower, and a run of losing trades is normal. The guard keeps the robot inside the limits; an account can still end at a loss limit rather than at the target. A price gap can fill a stop beyond its level. Firms change their rules; compare the profile with your firm's current rules.
TECHNICAL NOTES
No access rights required. Runs on any XAUUSD chart and timeframe: it loads its own history at start and builds its own 15-minute, 30-minute and four-hour bars. Your broker's gold symbol is used as it is spelled (XAUUSD, XAUUSD.i and similar). Hedging accounts only: on a netting account the two strategies would share one position, so the robot refuses to start there. Recommended from 10,000 USD; in Own account and Funded account mode a smaller account skips some trades (see the backtest above) unless you set your own Risk per trade. Every parameter is documented.

Trading leveraged products involves risk of loss; backtest results are hypothetical and past performance does not indicate future results.
Summary
The robot features a built-in prop-firm guard that dynamically loads specific firm program limits (daily loss, maximum loss, profit targets) and adjusts risk per trade accordingly, stopping trading before limits are breached. It supports 39 program profiles from 9 prop firms and allows custom rule setups. The guard monitors account status on every price change and maintains progress through platform restarts.
Trading occurs only on hedging accounts, recommended from $10,000 balance, with risk per trade typically set between 0.25% and 3%. Positions close before weekends, and the robot trades during defined hours (07:00–20:00 UTC). Backtests on IC Markets tick data show a 10.16% net profit over 26 days in a prop challenge mode with a profit factor of 3.18 and controlled drawdowns. The robot uses cTrader’s backtester and supports multiple risk management features including stop loss, take profit, break-even, and daily stop limits.
