Golden Hour Sweep Hunter is a confluence-based reversal cBot designed to catch “sweep and reclaim” moves around recent fractal support and resistance, then manage the position with strict risk sizing and optional scale-out protection.
It looks for price to briefly break a nearby fractal level (liquidity sweep), then close back through the level (reclaim). Trades can be filtered by higher-timeframe direction, volatility extremes, and momentum shift to avoid low-quality entries.
Core idea
Structure first, confirmation second.
Fractals define nearby market structure. Entries trigger only after a sweep and reclaim, optionally aligned with H4 trend and confirmed by Bollinger extremes plus MACD histogram improvement.
How it trades
Entry logic (sweep + reclaim)
- Buy when price sweeps below the nearest fractal low then closes back above it
- Sell when price sweeps above the nearest fractal high then closes back below it
Quality filters (optional)
- Tick-volume filter: trades only when tick volume is above its 20-period SMA
- H4 trend filter: only buy above H4 EMA, only sell below H4 EMA
- Bollinger Bands filter: requires an “extreme” touch (upper band for sells, lower band for buys)
- MACD filter: requires histogram momentum shift in the trade direction
Risk and trade management
- Equity-based risk sizing: position volume is calculated from your Risk % and stop distance
- ATR-buffered stop loss: SL includes a 0.5 ATR volatility buffer with a minimum SL floor
- Reward ratio take profit: TP is set as SL multiplied by Reward Ratio
- Optional scaling (profit protection): at a chosen R multiple, the bot:
- moves SL to breakeven (plus 1 pip)
- closes 50% of the position to bank profit
Inputs you can control
- Trading window: Start Hour / End Hour (UTC)
- Risk: Risk %, Reward Ratio
- Filters: H4 trend, Bollinger Bands, MACD
- Structure sensitivity: Fractal Strength
- H4 filter: H4 EMA Period
- Scaling: Use Scaling, Scale Out R
Backtest snapshot (example, not a guarantee)
From your screenshot: EURUSD, M15, tested 29/06/2023 to 18/02/2025 with a 1-hour trading window (UTC) and all filters enabled.
- Net profit: 71.98 (starting capital 200, ending equity 271.98)
- Profit factor: 1.30
- Total trades: 7 (wins: 3, losses: 4)
- Max equity drawdown: 53.18%
- Note: results skewed toward shorts in this run (shorts outperformed, longs underperformed)
This bot is highly sensitive to parameters (session window, fractal strength, R:R, and filters). Always forward-test on demo and adjust per symbol and broker conditions.
Who this is for
Traders who want a structured reversal system that waits for confirmation, sizes risk automatically, and can secure profits with scaling rather than letting winners turn into “almost-winners.”
