SmartGrid is an intelligent trend-following Grid cBot designed for cTrader. It combines a 50 EMA / 200 EMA trend filter with ATR-based adaptive grid spacing to enter trades in the direction of the prevailing market trend while dynamically managing additional grid positions.

Instead of using a fixed grid distance, SmartGrid automatically adjusts spacing according to current market volatility, helping the strategy adapt to changing market conditions.

Trading Strategy

SmartGrid trades only in the direction of the higher-timeframe trend.

• Uses 50 EMA and 200 EMA to identify market direction.
• Opens the first market order when a valid trend is detected.
• Adds new grid positions only after price moves by an ATR-based distance.
• Continues managing the basket until the configured profit target is reached.

Entry & Execution Logic

Buy Cycle

• 50 EMA above 200 EMA
• Opens an initial Buy position
• Adds additional Buy positions as price retraces by the ATR grid distance

Sell Cycle

• 50 EMA below 200 EMA
• Opens an initial Sell position
• Adds additional Sell positions as price moves upward by the ATR grid distance

Once the basket reaches the configured profit target, all positions are closed and a new trading cycle begins.
