Description
You guide Jev by writing instructions that describe your own trading strategy, such as when to buy, sell, hold, close trades, and how much risk to take.
The quality of Jev’s decisions and the potential profitability, depends heavily on your strategy prompt, settings, and market conditions. Jev does not guarantee profits. Create clear, detailed instructions based on your own trading approach and always test on a demo account first.
AI Configuration
AI Role
Defines Jev’s role, such as Trader. This controls how Jev interprets your instructions and evaluates the market.
Execute On
Determines when Jev requests a new decision, such as on a new trend bar or new market tick.
Decision Interval (Seconds)
Sets how often Jev checks the market and requests a new AI decision.
API Timeout (Seconds)
Maximum time Jev waits for a response from the TypeSafe API before canceling the request.
Prompt
Your most important setting. Describe your trading strategy, entry and exit rules, preferred market conditions, risk approach, and when Jev should stay out of the market. Jev’s decisions depend heavily on the clarity and quality of this prompt.

Provider Configuration
Provider API Key
Your personal TypeSafe API key. Obtain a free key from TypeSafe and use the available free credit.
Bring your own key: get your free API key from TypeSafe console.typesafe.ai and start with the included $5 free credit.
Provider Model Name
Specifies the Jev AI model used for decisions. The default model is jev-latest.
Backtesting
Backtest Freshness
Controls how old an AI response can be during backtesting. This helps prevent outdated decisions from being applied to a later market state.
Sample Prompt:
Detect the market trend using price action, structure, momentum, and technical confirmation. If the confirmed signal is an uptrend, buy; if it is a downtrend, sell; otherwise, hold. Open only high-probability trades, use available slots selectively, calculate lot size according to risk and exposure, continuously monitor open positions, close in profit when the objective is reached, exit when the trend reverses or the setup becomes invalid, and never force trades.
Summary
The bot supports configurable AI roles, decision intervals, and triggers for requesting new decisions, such as new trend bars or market ticks. It can incorporate various market data inputs including candlesticks, tick bars, market depth, and chart indicators to inform its decisions. Trade size parameters and execution limits—such as maximum exposure, number of positions, spread limits, and drawdown thresholds—are adjustable to control risk and trading behavior.
Jev requires a personal TypeSafe API key to access its AI decision engine and supports backtesting with controls to ensure response relevance. It is suited for trend-following, position trading strategies with medium trade frequency and uses algorithmic and technical analysis methods. The bot is compatible with market orders and includes risk management tools like stop equity-based and dynamic risk models. Recommended minimum balance is $1,000 with a risk per trade of 0.5%.
