Originally engineered with Prop Firm traders in mind (e.g., FTMO), HTS Strategy Tester does not rely on dangerous grid or martingale mechanics. Instead, it uses a precise "State Machine" logic to wait for the perfect macro trend, a deep pullback, and a micro-timeframe execution trigger. Once in a trade, it manages the position through an advanced "Campaign" system, securing partial profits and maximizing runners with dynamic trailing stops.
*** HOW IT WORKS: THE 4-STEP STATE MACHINE ***
The bot operates using a strict, logical sequence to filter out market noise:
- WAIT FOR TREND: It analyzes the Higher Timeframe (e.g., H1) using dynamic Moving Average Bands (Fast 33 & Slow 144 Wilder Smoothing by default) to determine the true market direction.
- WAIT FOR PULLBACK: Once a trend is established, the bot patiently waits for the price to retrace and touch the Higher Timeframe bands.
- WAIT FOR ENTRY: After the pullback is confirmed, the bot drops to the Lower Timeframe (e.g., 1-Minute) and waits for a precise momentum shift (MA Cross or MA Strategy trigger).
- CAMPAIGN ACTIVE: Once triggered, the bot opens the initial position and actively manages the "Campaign" until the sequence is closed.

- Multiple Stop Loss Calculation Modes:
- Swing SL: Places the Stop Loss behind the highest high / lowest low of the last 'N' bars (Chart Geometry).
- BandWidth 144 SL: Calculates SL dynamically based on the width of the Slow MA Band, adapting to current market volatility.
- Percent SL: Fixed percentage distance from the entry price.
PROFIT TAKING & RUNNER MANAGEMENT
- Partial Take Profit (TP1): Set a Cash ($) target for TP1. Once hit, the bot can automatically close a set percentage of the trade (e.g., close 95% and leave 5% as a risk-free runner).
- Smart Trailing Stops: Trailing ONLY activates after TP1 is secured, ensuring you don't choke your trades too early.
- Two Trailing Modes:
- Cash Distance: Trails the price by a fixed Dollar amount behind the maximum favorable price.
- MA Trailing: Dynamically trails the Stop Loss tightly behind moving average lines (Fast Low/High, Slow High/Low), giving the market room to breathe while locking in profits.
TRADING WINDOW & END OF DAY (EOD) LOGIC
- Customizable Trading Hours: Define exactly when the bot is allowed to look for entries.
- EOD Management: Options to automatically close all trades at the end of every day, only on Fridays (to avoid weekend gaps), or automatically move Stop Losses to Break-Even at the end of the day if the trade is in profit.
