SC AI AutoTrader – AI News & Technical Analysis Trading Bot
SC AI AutoTrader is an automated trading bot for cTrader that combines real-time financial news analysis with artificial intelligence and technical analysis to pinpoint the best moments to open a position.
Unlike traditional bots based solely on technical indicators, this system adds an extra layer of analysis: it reads and interprets market news as soon as it's published, evaluates its sentiment and expected impact on the instrument, and uses this information to confirm — or filter out — signals before they're acted on.
The result is a bot that doesn't just "read the charts", but understands the context behind them — reacting in an informed way to the events that actually move the market.
How It Works
The bot's engine combines three layers of analysis:
- News Analysis: real-time monitoring of over 10 financial and non-financial sources (Yahoo Finance, Google News, CNBC, Investing, MarketWatch, BBC and others), with automatic filtering of news relevant to the monitored symbols, and classification by importance, category and expected impact.
- Artificial Intelligence: advanced AI models analyze each relevant news item, evaluate its sentiment, estimate the expected direction (bullish/bearish) with an intensity rating from 1 to 10, and provide detailed reasoning behind every signal generated.
- Technical Analysis: over 15 indicators (RSI, EMA, SMA, MACD, ATR, ADX, Bollinger, OBV, Stochastic) across multiple timeframes (from 1 hour to 1 day) are used to confirm or reject the direction proposed by the AI, reducing false signals.
Only when news, AI sentiment, and technical indicators are aligned does the bot consider opening a position.

Getting Started
SC AI AutoTrader is a subscription-based bot. A free trial version is available to download from the cTrader Market: it lets you try the bot for 30 days, no credit card required. After the trial period, a monthly subscription is required to continue using it.
⚠️ IMPORTANT — Backtesting Not Supported
Running a Backtest with SC AI AutoTrader is not meaningful and will not produce reliable results.
This is because:
- The bot's core logic relies on real-time news retrieved live from external sources (Yahoo Finance, Google News, CNBC, Investing, MarketWatch, BBC and others).
- Historical backtesting engines replay past price data only — they cannot replay the news feed, sentiment analysis, or AI reasoning that drives the bot's decisions in real time.
- Without live news data, the AI and news-analysis layers simply have nothing to process, so any backtest results would be incomplete, inaccurate, or entirely misleading.
For this reason:
- Do not use the Backtesting feature to evaluate this bot's performance.
- To properly test the bot, run it in Forward Testing (demo account) mode, where it can access real-time news and market data exactly as it would in live trading.
