설명
Alpha Pointer puts one line on the chart that only ever moves with the trend.
Each bar it measures the average true range and sets a level under the bar in an uptrend, or over the bar in a downtrend. Which side it uses is decided by the Commodity Channel Index. While momentum is positive the level follows price upward and never falls; while momentum is negative it follows price down and never rises. The result is a stepped line you can lean on: for as long as it holds, the move that built it is intact.
WHAT YOU SEE
A stepped trend line, in your bullish or bearish colour.
A shaded band between that line and the middle of each bar, faint at the bar and stronger at the line, so the distance price has run is readable at a glance.
A pointer on the bar where the trend turns, placed at the lowest low or the highest high of the last 21 bars, which is where the move began.
HOW TO USE IT
The line is the trend and a level to trade against: while price holds above it, buyers are in control, and below it sellers are. A pointer marks the turn itself, so it is a place to start looking for an entry, not an entry by itself. A long flat stretch of line means price is ranging inside the band and there is nothing to lean on.
SETTINGS
CCI Period, ATR Period and ATR Multiplier set how far the line sits from price and how readily it turns. Smooth Trend Magic runs the line through a moving average of your choice - SMA, EMA, SMMA, WMA or VWMA - which gives a calmer line that turns later. Both colours are yours. The band, the line and the pointers each have a switch, and switching any of these off changes the drawing only: the values, alerts and webhook carry on.
ALERTS AND WEBHOOK
Three events: a turn up, a turn down, and any change of direction. Each has its own switch and can fire when the bar closes or as soon as the condition is met. Delivery is a log line, a sound or an e-mail. There is also a webhook: enter an address and each event is posted to it as JSON, as plain text, or in a template you write yourself with placeholders for the symbol, timeframe, time, prices, the line and the direction. It stays off until you enter one, it sends nothing during the history pass or in a backtest, and it needs no special access rights - posts go out through cTrader's own networking service.
TYPE AND WINDOW
A trend indicator, drawn on the price chart.
TIMEFRAMES AND INSTRUMENTS
Any time-based timeframe. M15 and above suit the defaults; on M1 and M5 lower the CCI Period or raise the ATR Multiplier so the line turns less often. It works on any instrument - forex pairs, metals, indices and crypto - because everything it uses is derived from the bars themselves.
WHO IT IS FOR
Traders who follow a trend and want one clear level for it, with a marker at each turn and an alert when that happens.
NOTES
Everything on the chart follows the bar that is still forming, so the line, the band and a pointer can change until that bar closes. Alerts and webhook posts default to bar close, where the condition is final. On a fresh chart the line can rest at zero until momentum first turns positive; scroll back or wait for the first turn and it takes its normal place.
Trading involves risk. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
요약
Users can customize settings such as CCI period, ATR period, ATR multiplier, and smoothing methods (SMA, EMA, SMMA, WMA, VWMA) to adjust the line’s sensitivity and appearance. The indicator supports alerts and webhook notifications for trend turns and direction changes, configurable to trigger on bar close or immediately when conditions occur. Alpha Pointer serves as a clear visual guide for traders to identify trend direction and key levels to trade against, with the trend line acting as support or resistance depending on price position.
