StructureSniper (Market Structure BOS/CHoCH)
StructureSniper – the indicator that reads market structure for you.
StructureSniper is an advanced cTrader indicator that automatically tracks market structure, marking:
- key swing highs / swing lows,
- Break of Structure (BOS):
- BOS↑ when price closes above the last swing high,
- BOS↓ when price closes below the last swing low,
- Change of Character (CHoCH):
- CH↑ = first bullish BOS after a bearish environment,
- CH↓ = first bearish BOS after a bullish environment.
It shows you when structure truly shifts, without manual drawing and without subjective guessing.
What it plots on the chart
- ▲ swing high (orange): important local highs
- ▼ swing low (blue): important local lows
- BOS↑ (lime) below candles that break the last swing high
- BOS↓ (red) above candles that break the last swing low
- CH↑ (blue) on the first bullish BOS that flips the trend
- CH↓ (red/orange) on the first bearish BOS that flips the trend
Perfect for traders using:
- Smart Money / ICT / Wyckoff concepts,
- structure-based trading (HH/HL, LH/LL),
- BOS + retest continuation setups or CHoCH as a genuine reversal signal.
Indicator parameters (v2)
1. Swing lookback bars
How many bars to look back to define a swing.
- Default:
3 - Higher value → fewer, more significant swings
- Lower value → more swings, more granular structure
2. Min swing size (pips)
Filters out tiny swings (noise).
- Default:
2.0 0= accept all swings- Higher values → only keep swings with a minimum distance from local high/low
3. Break buffer (pips)
How much the close must break the swing to count as a real BOS.
- Default:
1.0 - Helps avoid false BOS on tiny spikes
4. Signal offset (pips)
Distance (in pips) to place BOS/CH labels away from candle high/low.
- Cosmetic only – increase if labels are too close to price.
5. Show swing points
- true = show ▲ / ▼ on swing highs/lows
- false = hide swing markers, only show BOS/CH for a cleaner chart
6. Show legend on chart
Shows a small legend in the top-left corner explaining BOS↑ / BOS↓ / CH↑ / CH↓.
Why StructureSniper stands out
- Objective: clear numeric rules instead of subjective structure drawing.
- Educational: great for learning and visually backtesting ICT/SMC market structure concepts.
- Practical: helps define:
- current trend (up / down),
- logical pullback zones after a BOS,
- first real signs of reversal (CHoCH), not just random bounces.
🔗 Killa combo: combined with Bounty Killer, you can:
- use stop-hunt candles (Bounty Killer) to locate liquidity,
- then use StructureSniper to confirm continuation or reversal via BOS/CHoCH.
