Pivot Point Indicators for cTrader

A classic pivot point is the average of the previous period's high, low and close, plotted as the central level for the next session. Support and resistance levels are then projected above and below it from that prior range, giving a fixed map for the day.

They share a central pivot but space the outer levels differently. Classic uses the prior range, Fibonacci applies ratios to it, Camarilla packs tighter levels around the close and Woodie weights the close more; products also differ in offering daily, weekly or monthly periods.

The prior day's high, low and close depend on when the daily candle starts, and that can differ between brokers and settings. Check which session close an indicator uses and whether it can be changed, since currency traders often anchor the day to the New York close.

Price above the central pivot is often read as an upward session bias and price below it as a downward one, with outer levels as possible reaction zones. Experienced chartists confirm with candles, volume or higher-timeframe trend, since a level alone cannot say which side will hold.

It can: place a price alert slightly before the level, and cTrader sends a pop-up, sound or email when price gets there. The indicator itself only draws levels in cTrader Windows or Mac, so every order remains your decision, and levels can fail.
